i just kinda noticed this, i was just readingsome of the posts in case i could put in a word or two and there was one talking about locking these posts. Now if its a db drag forum, then why do posts get locked? whats the point, then that would mean if something that person or another one wanted to say something, they would have to post again, kinda like the whole hifonics post issue. Its a forum, i didn't think we'd be like graded on it, ya know. maybe I just haven't gotten much sleep lately, but I wanted to say something, thanks!

i think it was why do, and need new toy, i think. besides that, i had to start that new post about hifonics, which sucked b/c it could of been a more useful pst for the page, either way, i'm not running those amps but i thought the writing was interesting ya know, but then it was locked, and then i read "who do" and was like hmmm, i want to find out

and most people dont get on here trying to start things it is just of matter of speaking what you think is right and if you dont care what i think is right or any body toughts. then why even have a forum. i respect everyones toughts, i can understand some topics are way to political. but nothing will get fixed if you ignore it. you think if bush would of ignored what happened to the twin towers and wouldnt of started a war against iraq.then bin ladin and sadam probably would of have kept doing it. that shows that dont ignore things answer it with 100% TRUTHFULLNESS. thats why we are in america we can say what we want do wat we want. as long you dont violate any laws. and im pretty sure saying somethign about an amp is not against the law. or about locked topics.

first of all, you usually pay to drive on private roads.
This forum is on Wayne server. He can shut this forum down anytime he wants and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

well, i can see a road or like the pennsylvania turnpike you have to pay to ride on, but the heck if they aren't gonna want you to drive on there, its more money for them, so thats not quite right. I think he meant streets, like a private drive, but thats so you know its basically a dead end, gueesing. But the post above i kinda agree with. Wayne could shut down these furoms but what would be the point in that? Taking away even more reasons to be a part? I love this organization so i guess maybe i need to work on my communication skills or something. But yea, i don't think that certain people should have control over what is said to a certain extent, and like the person also said, if the post the person wrote says messed up things, delete that one post, but whats the point to lock the rest? I mean we have a post right now about posts being locked. Could of used this time to talk about next year shows

its a privately owned server, its a private forum for db drag members. wayne can shut it down if he so desires. ANYONE can be banned if they so desire, and for that matter, db drag can charge for access if they want. it's thier website, thay can do what they please. and you, your lawyer, the supreme court, and no one elsecan do anything about it.
if you come to my house tlaking trash, do you think i dont have the right to toss you off my property unless you break my house rules?
the way i see it. you have three choices.

As some others have mentioned, this is Wayne's Forum/website. He can do whatever he wants to it and noone can say anything about it. the moderators are hear to do a job, a job that Wayne has given them to do. Moderating a forum, especially one as big as termpro, is a very hard job to do. The moderators cannot please everybody when they have to put their foot down and they are not really supposed to. Being a moderator for a much smaller forum and an owner of another one, I sort of know what the moderators go through. It is tough and people think they are wrong (most of the time). The job of a moderator is to make sure things remain civil. If they see something that is out of place or can cause a problem, then it is their right to do something about it. I believe posting an explanation or something like that is a good thing. It is what I usually do when I have to close topics on the forums I own and moderate. I let the members see the explanation of why the topic was closed or deleted, then delete that. Moderators do not have to do that though.
I am not sure which posts are being deleted or closed, so I cannot comment on that (and it is not my job to comment on that). I do know of one that I was wondering about (question about autotek dealers in Jacksonville, Fl). I didn't find anything wrong with that post, but it got moved to the moderators channel for some reason. I am not going to ask why though.
If a moderator feels that a post or topic is going to start a war, they have to step in and do something about it. If every other word in a post has name calling, cursing, bashing, or stuff like that, the moderators have to put a stop to it. In the process of doing that, the moderators are made out to be the bad person. they are not, they are trying to (to the best of their abilities) keep the forum clean.
Now I feel like I am rambling, just woke up and brain isn't functioning fully yet. I felt I had to reply though, for the defense of the moderators. I hope what I said made a little bit of sense.
Yeah, we definately have no room to bytch. We are lucky that this forum even exists. if it wasn't for this forum. we would have to resort to sounddomain.com for audio info.

You know this gets my goat,while some of the things you are saying is true,the fact of the matter is WE is how this whole thing got started,WE pay entrance fees,WE host shows, We buy gear,WE promote this,not just one guy and a bunch of Mods,thats the mentality thats causing friction in this Org.Wayne might have started all this which I am thankful for but in no way did he do it alone,WE did it!The only way to be a successful team is to understand WE!Every time we post on here we promote what were doing to new people and there is going to be strife,just as in the real world,I consider this as my home just as much as Wayne does,or any mod for that matter,there aren't any children on here,just some guys trying to express opinions,and by the mods just shutting out opinions you have to wonder who's being childish?The Mod is always right?If it doesn't sound good to the Mod it gets pulled?Quit trying to run this thing like a communist and start listening to the people a bit more.

also have to remember that potential sponsors visit this site, as well as manufactures. yes, what you guys say DOES impact situations. but when all of it is negative ( not informational ) then why would someone like Pepsi or Home Depot want to sponsor a bunch of children bitching.
all this does nothing but good.
Also, there does no good in bitching about issues that have past that can't be changed. I know the comments are being posted in hopes that they'll be fixed, but most of the time the posts don't end up that way. Also, if the situation is already taken care of, we're just pouring salt on old wounds.
My suggestion, post positive comments that support the industry and organization and there wont be any problems with posts.
People should also realize what posting on here accomplishes?? Most of the time, nothing.
