Bingo!^^ I think thats the main reason ^^

I think the pride of just winning a world championship or being sponcored is not good enough anymore with spl competitors these days.In this sport, you MUST spend a lot of money to stay competitive or win a championship ,IT COMES WITH THE TERRITORY!! unless db drag gets a MAJOR sponcer there will NEVER be a total prize package that would even cover the cost of what a competitor spends in one spl season! There's plenty of competitors out there that spend the same amount of money and time every season ,but never made won championship, advanced rounds,or made brackets.Db Drag aint perfect ,the league has it's flaws,I won't lie,I've b-tched on here before but jeeez, this is ridiculous.Wayne owns an airplane,so f-ckin what, with his back ground and accomplishments ya expect him not to do so? I'd buy one too! with less and less exhibitors/sponcers ya expect him to change his life style and come out his pocket more and more?? You don't see the commissioners of NBA,NFL,and major league BASEBALL coming out of their pocket or get criticized for buyin million dallor coffee tables?!The car audio market is f-cked up/shifted and you all know this so why bother? Don't blame wayne blame the market,in other words "don't hate the player, hate the game". [Cool]

dbDrag's main problem getting more sponsors is that they are ONE DIMENSIONAL. Products should not be made for one thing and they know that. How many SQL!, LOUD DAILY SUB? WHATS BEST FOR DAILY? Threads do you see every day on here?

The other competitions are better suited for the real world but I STILL think SQ is subjective...and the meter doesn't ALWAYS lie. [Big Grin]

Don't thousands of people pay to get into stadiums to watch these paid players?

Some how some way we have got to find a way to market DBDrag better. I dont know how it is going to happen but it is the only way it is ever going to grow is to put some thing out there to work for.

i have been doing this for a long time and i remember when even sbn paid out like $500 for 1st in ea class! so whats dif. now? they didnt have many cars then !but they still had $$$ prize.
some one is not doing there part to keep db drag going! and paying back the people that made it all happin! the people who enter the shows!i know it takes alot to run dbdrag but when you ask for higher entry fees and cost of travle gets higher ! it would be nice to give some back to the winners that work soo hard and make this all possible! then maybe us oldtimers would not have to ask each other WHY! why are we still doing this!!???????????????????????????? if i can offer cash to winners at my shows why cant dbdrag??

I have said this many times before but I get bashed!!! Why dont all of you that bash me for asking or speaking my mind bash Steve?? Im not going to bash you I like you and your a great person. I dont think that we are saying that we want 3000.00 first place prizes to cover our full season of competing just something at finals to say thanks for suporting us. I meen come on we all have 100 points or more we are the to 15 form all classes. Give a little something for us to want to pay those Entries Fees and travel. We are going to more than likely come anyway, and if it 1000.00 or 500.00 its better than nothing to me and others.

I will start this by saying I have never been to finals and havenever qualified for them. I think that with the total cost for a competitor to qualify for and travel to World Finals that there should be no fees to compete at finals. Not even including the system your average competitor probably spends upwards of 5-10 grand just in entry and travel fees(many probably spend much more).

I speak for the little guys here when I say this ain't gonna get any better if it keeps going this way,I attended a few shows here in the midwest this year where there were only 5 or 6 people in the lanes total, this organisation needs to lose the "if you don't like it then leave" attitude, the competitors shouldn't be catering to the Org. it should be the other way around, like it used to be!
