This year might be even worse then last year for easter Canada. Only 1 judge and he is all the way on the western side of the country. Somehow I doubt that eastern Canada will have even 1 multi-point event this year.
If there is going to be a new certified judge in easter Canada I hope that the people will know ALL of the rules not just the basics of street class. As I have seen vehicles "pass" the so called "inspection" at multi point events that clearly should not have passed because the judge did not know the rules.

When talking to Ray he said that he would be more then willing to judge eastern Canadian multipoint shows. I'm not sure what it'll cost but I know he is available.
Don't worry Ray will take good care of Canada. He's all about DB Drag.

yeah so hes gonna fly out here for shows...great so that will add a nice $500 plane ticket to the cost of having a multi pointer. I agree though that Cam was a total tool when it came to the rules...he didn't know half of them and so he kept consulting the rule book and I was like wow you don't know anything how are you a judge lol. at least he didn't make stuff up too much...well he did but then he would at least correct himself by checking the book. It would definately be nice to get someone in eastern canada to be certified though

Yes I talked with him at finals and he is willing to come to eastern Canada but that is not his first choice, he would like there to be a certified judge over here.
The only problem about having a eastern judge is that there is really no one qualified enough to become one.

Well... 2 things. First, we have Moe Sab around here so we can still have a bunch of IASCA shows. (I know it's not the same for a lot of you, but I always have a great time at the shows Moe puts on)
Second... I have personally written to both Ray and the dbDrag offices to find out what it takes to become a certified multi-point judge.
Neither of them gave me a reply. So I guess having an eastern MP judge isn't a priority.

yes Chris is a good guy and I support that decision. Jordy no offence but you are a newbie that from my opinion has never held a show of any kind so to put you up as a multipoint judge isn't really an option. I think that Chris has put on some good shows the only thing is I am not sure if he could make the time and money committment neccessary to be a multipoint judge. You gotta buy a termlab.net and that alone is probobly out of the budget you know what I mean.

Yes Chris Barclay would be a good judge BUT he would have to learn ALL of the rules. Buying a termlab.net is a big investment but seeing as you do get paid it would be worth it. Hell I even have a .net setup and I just use it to test. But that is just me.

No offence taken man. I agree that Chris would be a much better judge. I know that he likes to compete though, and from what I've heard you can't compete any more if you are a judge.
I wasn't thinking of becoming a judge today or anything. I just wanted to find out what the process was. If I don't find out what the process is then I don't have a goal to aim for.
The point remains though. Someone has messaged both Ray and DBDRA but didn't get an answer from either of them.
Wether this person is a noob like myself or a veteran like Chris, an answer still should have been given.

Can Am Slam? Snow in the Show?
