Actually, there are very few companies that would not benefit through dB Drag Racing. However, until dBDRA can utilize the resources provided, there is little more one could hope for. The national recognition has assisted in the public acknowledgment of dBDRA, but has had little effect on obtaining more of a direct support for this type of activity (Stereo competition).
There are some who have been working on such support for awhile. However, the time for implementation of such efforts has yet to be identified.
There is much work still to be done, but the wait may be found to be worthy of the patients needed for such an endeavour.

An excellent attempt at making an intelligent statement. However, your overuse of wordy "sound good" sentences will allow most people to see that statement for what it really is.

as silly as this may sound, i am a truck driver for one of the largest manufactures of animal feed in the mid-east. we deliver feed to ohio and all the surrounding states. they provide me with a small amount of sponsorship. this includes a 2003 chevy truck for a tow vehicle! not bad i'd say. for a company that has absolutely nothing to do with this area, and benefits nothing from it. so why not look at things outside the car audio world?

I want to start a list of companies that would benifit from advertizing through dB Drag, be it on the website or on product info and advertisments.
I will start it off
-Home Depot -Lowes -Coke -Pepsi -Tylenol -Makita
Feel free to add more
well visions held the competition in home depots parking lot, does that count?? . but i think some good companies, like you said pepsi, and coke. and maybe some fast food resturants. like people are in the sun for many hours. it would really pay off for them

Home Depot should stock up on MDF, Concrete, Expanding Foam and Duct Tape and hold dbDrag events. They would sell out all their MDF if Norass, Hughes or some of the other big dog's came by.
"I'll take 100 sheets of your thickest MDF!"
"Sir that will be A LOT of money!"
"I have more money than the owner of this store! GET ME MY MDF!"
That reminds me of a song...

Unfortunatly, until DB Drag is more spectator friendly this is all for not. We all already use these things so comapanies don't need to do anything to gain our support. What would create a need for companies to advertise through DB Drag is if there were spectators that they could advertise to. When it becomes more entertaining /enjoyable for spectators it will become profitable to advertisers. Maybe we should all look at some of the things we do and see what can be done to make it better for spectators.

Crap professional POOL gets broadcast on ESPN.
I know a director that can come in a shoot a competition and edit it down to show what went on that day for a possible pitch to ESPN. I think it could work. I know I would watch it and look at how many members of Tpro, SD and all the others that would watch it also. You can have a tip of the day segment and a donated prize for certain winners. Show a little of the qualifying action and show what's been judged to be illegal and how and why they fixed it. I think a big event like a 3x would be fine for a test run and after that it can be shots from several smaller events of the yearly process with bigger events and record setting taking the center stage. I am all for it but there can't be any hidden installs and secrete CRAP going on.
Someone give Wayne my email address if he wants to get with the director I know. ss454327@yahoo.com
