Do we have to ship 100 cars top the US instead??

I mean that those company's get attention because we too compete with US brands (check my signature) We don not need your cars over here if you don't want to. EDITED [Wink]

We are also not talking about stealing your championships or whatever. You get them back the year after.

Just give us a fair chance to compete @ the worldfinals once in every 2 years or so (without the need to ship our cars around the world)

And for Shane HCCAfan: The Olympics started and branched out from Athens, Greece in 1904. It took them 100 years before the games came back [Wink]

x2
give us the cance! i donīt want any discussion ībout who is louder or something, this doesnīt fit here and just brings a bad mood, but WORLDFINALS should move. nobody wants them to take place in europe for the next 10 years, we just want them once in about 3-4 years, so we too have the possibility to compete at WORLDfinals. just think about the word WORLD, and believe me, there is something outside the US!

Sorry Tomo16v, Sorry US competitors. I don't want to start a discussion about who is being the loudest.
That's why i put the smiley after the remark.
But I will look after my language better next time.

For the rest of it, I think we agree!

you guys are looking at this all wrong...wayne has the ability to have a show running in the us and europe at the same time...he has already shown interest in making use of that ability...maybe that is the best route for "world finals" instead of tearing each other down and making useless remarks about who is louder, try to aim for the ability for all people to join in a world finals!

ps, please remember...db drag is NOT about the US vr Europe or any other scenerio...it is about competitor A against competitor B...lets please not lose focus of that!

pss, now, my vote is that the US venue be in OHIO [Wink]

well this would of course be the best scenario, but actually i donīt believe in a internet-final, and, honestly i donīt believe in a final outside the u.s. neither.
but i still hope...

I have import company and I know that temporary import for race or demo cars to Europe is piece of cake. And many people in dB Drag in Europe are involfed in international business.

Big number of cars is even better than just for one or two cars. You can have everything from charter jet to shiping directly with container to race arena.

WF in Europe is great idea to promote dB Drag. Just think of global influence on car audio competitions, not just how many miles you have to drive to WF.

Hi Mr. Shock - Ohio,

I edited my post. I too do not want to start a war of words about this. I really ment it as a joke.

Hi Mr Tomo 16v Can you please edit my quote about eoro's and loud?

I think all Euro's agree with Dr. Loudness that dBdrag worldfinals in Europe would be a great thing to promote our wonderfull sport.

I hope the big men himself (Wayne) can join our little conversation. I really would like to hear his point of view. Maybe he can give a good explanation for keeping the WF in the US of A (I can imagine things like: sponsors, contracts whatever)

Hope to hear from him soon.
Thanks in advance Wayne!

Remember in '98 and '99 in Louisville?

That place was sweet:
-Close to the airport
-Lotsa hotels
-TONS of parking

Ohio is a good idea, but I can't think of one convention center type building in Ohio that could accomodate finals.

What about Michigan? You all know we have the best shows!

i'd rather finals be where it is. but if it did move, i agree that louisville was the best. i still enjoy going to louisville more than nashville every year and i am acually headed for louisville for meca finals tonight.

why do the westcoast guys want finals there? there are no dbdrag shows on the west coast. it's like moving finals to idaho. [Big Grin]

if anything, i think we all need to take a lesson from meca and iasca. they teamed up to have their finals at the same time, in the same facility. makes things alot easier to afford for everyone.
just imagine if dbdrag and usac came together like that. same time, same facility. plus, it doesn't get any more centralized than kansas city.

i would love to compete at usac finals this year but i am just too tapped out from dbdrag finals and meca finals. if both finals were at the same time, in the same facility, it would have been alot easier to afford.

I'm somewhat against having an internet held finals for a couple of reasons.

First off, this would open the gate to having a multi country finals, in which each show might have 20 cars max there, not very exciting to watch, nor would it constitute a spectator sport anymore.

Secondly, there is too much varying degree of accuracy involved. We have all heard that all meters hit the same number, but MOST of us know that a lot of meters are definately hitting different. Some meters react radically different, especially under different conditions. You'd never know which judge was leniant on one rule, while another was strict in the other country. I'd hate to be the one that loses by .1 dB when it may have been made up by change in altitude, temperature, meter, judging, etc. Call it paranoid if you will, but I don't believe it would be fair for all the competitors.

A suggestion which I will probably get flamed for is to eliminate World finals and replace it with European finals and North American finals. Each finals has their own records, and each could take place on the same weekend. That would get rid of one of the most controversial topics as of late, and make it fair for all the competitors... except Russians and Aussies.

But since I don't think that'll happen... my vote is for Vegas also!
