I always say that Daytona is a perfect place to do it, every year is the biggest show (SBN) and there is a hell more spectators there than any other show. But since I'm in Florida no one wants that. But there is competitors from everywhere in the US goiing to SBN so why not there and of course is not that cold. My .02

At my store and competitive audio we have had the biggest show the last two years well until the price thing changed!!!

i personally do not mind oklahoma... i know it won't be in vegas, even though it would be easiest to book, cheaper hotels, food, party... pretty much better in EVERY way. surely dbdraggers on the east coast have traveled some? still, even though i know it won't be in vegas, it is the best place for finals, but because vegas is close to me, i must be biased for saying it... how about this, have it in europe or atlantic city...

^IASCA discussed Vegas a few years ago, and someone pointed out how expensive it would be to hold a big show in Vegas due to the requirement that union labor be used for everything. I haven't personally priced a show in Vegas compared to one somewhere else, but it doesn't shock me.

Anywhere thats closer for Canadians.

I know several Canadians from Alberta have gone for the past few years and I plan on being there next year. I wouldn't mind seing it in Mo or Las Vegas.

I think MO is a great idea though more central, lots of competitors, no one seems to not like the idea too much.

I think a joint finals in KC with USACi would be great for next year.

does anyone remember when soundwaves, columbus car audio, taz electronics, car stereo indash and horizon used to have singles in ohio that had 100-150 cars EVERY WEEKEND???

Imagine a proposal to those old time dB Drag hosts and bringing back the good ole days...

I think Ohio could have an AMAZING spectator turn out as well as an increase in over all participation if someone was to give it a chance...just imagine aproaching the above mentioned shops as well as the many others and having them talking up a finals in ohio all year long...

Now that could be a finals to remember...FOR REAL!

Somewhere in the center of Europe would be nice.
(switzerland, germany, netherlands, austria)
Or Scandinavia. A lot of competitors are from Scandinavia. If you look at the worlrecords it'is quite easy to see that the US of A isn't the right place to be for Worldfinals [Smile]

You are allowed to have your US finals anywhere in the US though [Wink]

i would have to disagree. Its where it was introduced, started, and branched out from, it should be where it all ends as well.

Or maybe you think of the new markets over here. A lot of US brands sell their stuff in europe too you know [Wink] By having world finals in europe they will get a lot of attention from the media in europe, thus more new competitors (or enthousiasts) thus more revenue.
The year after, the worldfinals can move to Asia or whatever, then back to US, then Europe, then Asia...you get the picture [Wink]

Reasonable, reasonable?
Who isn't being reasonable?
Do we have to ship 100 cars top the US instead??

I mean that those company's get attention because we too compete with US brands (check my signature) We don not need your cars over here if you don't want to.

We are also not talking about stealing your championships or whatever. You get them back the year after.

Just give us a fair chance to compete @ the worldfinals once in every 2 years or so (without the need to ship our cars around the world)

And for Shane HCCAfan: The Olympics started and branched out from Athens, Greece in 1904. It took them 100 years before the games came back [Wink]
