The Cubic inches would be the total volume of the port...

height*width*depth

If you are looking for the surface area, that is a little different...

height*width

Now if you are asking how many square inches of port area do you need...Then I would need to know how large your enclosure is and what you are trying to achieve with the design...ie low bass extension or max spl!
