I just returned from a show that was posted in the upcoming events area. The show was at Audio Junction in Junction City KS. I called Friday to get direction on how to get to the show. they gave me direction and told me that things started at 11:00, Reg. started at 10:00. After driving for 2 hours and having to rent a truck to get my Dragger there the show was called off. The person in the shop told me that it had been called off for more thatn 12 days and if I would not have been stupid I would have called before coming. I told him I did and then he proceded to call me a lier. I asked him why it was still posted as a show in the upcomming events. He said that he did his part by calling you and canceling the show. he was not responsible for the DB drag guys not being able to do there job properly. I just thought that you should know about some of the shops that put on your show and take credit for all the hard work that you do. thanks for taking the time to read this.

Dukk I did call the day before and I was told it was still ago. When I got there the guy told me that I had never called and that I was full of it. I guess that I will never attend any of there shows again.

I'm sorry to hear of your difficulty. We were never notified of the cancellation.
To all competitors:
Always call the day before. Talk with the store manger...explain your situation. (Driving a long way.) Get his name. Have them FAX you the specifics of the show.
We do our best to keep the event calendar up-to-date. Unfortunately, with almost 600 events, situations like this are probably going to occur.
Like they say, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

Thanks Wayne, for the looking in to the show for me. I talked to the shop owner I think when I got there on Sat. He was a jerk about things, he never once sad that he was sorry about me driving all the way and the show being called off. He just treated me like I was a total idiot. The thing that mad me that maddest is that because I pick that show to go to, I was not able to got to a show on Sunday, since I had to rent a truck to attend the show on Sat. I don't mind loosing out on points if i would have went to the show and lost but missing out on point because the shop calls off a show, and then the other show in the area that I would have attended over the Sat show, I would have placed 2nd because only one person was there in my class. That is what really makes me mad. Once again thanks for all the help. Also keep up all the hard work we really appreciate it.

That poor poor shop and poor poor man...Now Wayne is calling. I hope they get what they deserve. I experienced something like that but the show was like 20 minutes away. Not a big deal. But I feel your pain...

Hey S10-Audio Junction is having a full blown DB Drag event this Sat.They have been advertising the sh*t out of it on 101.5...Even having the Hawaian Tropic Bikini Team Carwash!But you are right-the owner is a prick!!!So I will not be there!!!!

Glad to hear that you are not going. Thanks for the support on the way that the owner acts. I would like to know what his deal is. I heard some thing today about it but blew it off when I heard where it was. I would rather be short for finals in point than to give that guy my business.
