I have heard of the Shiva but never seen one. CarSound.com has a ton of guys that know about this sub and would be willing to answer any questions you have. I know its more of a SQ sub made for the home. I think it has car audio features and were just developed for home use.

adire audio is a great company. the shiva is their 12" sub and tempest is their 15" sub and the maelstorm is their 18" sub. soon...the brahama series will be out in all sizes. this line will consist of a one way x-max of 29mm. LOUD! the shiva and tempest are the most popular subs. i know for a fact that the shiva can still hit pretty hard down to 18hz. they are really the best bang for the buck. they are not cheap quality at all. they would get a lot louder and a lot lower and sound about the same (sq wise )compared to a idq. adire subs rock! i give props to anyone who runs any adire sub. great quality and for a cheap price.

Adire makes great subs. The Shiva actually withstood my 2000X in the Honda. Not bad for a $115 buck sub. The new Brahma also has the highest measured x-max on the market, beautiful!

Shiva is the multiarmed charecter from Mortal Kombat 3. Was kind of hard to beat until I figured her out. Once she lands, uppercut and leg sweep....

well excelaudio... my buddy actually has a single 12 shiva and that thing sounds pretty damn good... its very comparable to an idq... just less expensive.... they are coming out with a new sub called the brahma... supposedly the most amount of xmax ever in a sub..these are probably the best quality subs for the dollar.

It was DUMAX tested at around 22mm. It was the stroke king until the Brahma was tested.
