Only if you didn't see this, Mike:
Posted by Wayne Harris concerning his decision to move the Daytona triple pointer down the road to the Tuner Bash:
1. SBN does not award prize money to competitors. The dBDRA has negotiated a contract with Primedia which guarantees a minimum total cash and prize purse of $10,000.00. We did this for the competitors.
2. The dBDRA has signed an agreement with Primedia which opens the door to a whole series of Tuner / Autosound competitions across the country. These shows are the hottest thing going. There are many, many more attendees at these tuner events than there are at a standard autosound competition. More attendees means more exposure for the dBDRA to both newcomer competitors and also potential large sponsors such as Honda and others. (You cannot BELIEVE how big the tuner market is!)

I think of the performance import market when I hear the term. Of course, it could apply to anyone who alters their car, import or domestic, for aesthetics or increased performance.
Anywho...anyone have any specifics about the deal? Like will there only be cash at Triple pointers? Double pointers? Also, will this be at all of the triples/doubles or just certain ones? Approximately how many shows will be held in conjunction with these car shows?

I think one of the main advantages of having the dB Drag in conjunction with the tuner shows, is that now we can get all the high performance and cosmetic parts forr Paul's Omni. We all know how sweet it would look with euro's...
Seriously, I think it opens alot of new doors and eyes to our little world. Since these tuner kids already understand that performance costs $, maybe they might be lured by a few low notes and some good sportsmanship.
