My recomendation to you is to wait for the 2002 rules to come out if you are interested in competing in a certain class. After these rules come out if you are still unsure, then would be the time to ask.

Off the top of my head I am fairly certain that all of those questions are perfectly legal.

1.) If it cannot come out of the car without cutting is it legal in street class?
2.) Can I remove the carpet underneath and the spare tire to use the spare tire well?
3.) Does the plastic panelling have to stay in the car or can I remove it and glass to the metal panel underneath?
Thanks for your help guys!!!

From my interpretation of 2001 rules (no idea on next year):
#1) Not sure, probably ok, but it could create questions of cheating, as in if your box doesn't come out, what did you hide under it?
#2) Spare tire well is ok and you may remove anything designed as a consumer removable object (ie tire/jack, etc.), not sure about the carpet, but if it is in the hatch and the box is going to cover it anyway, I don't see how anyone could police that.
#3) ALL interior panels must remain in the vehicle in their proper location. Removing panels (even ones that pop on and off) unless designed to be removed during normal everyday use is considered a mod. Exceptions are ones designed to be removed by the consumer, like jack and tire covers, small access panels for eletronics (fuses, etc.) stuff that a normal person would need to remove at some point in time. Some judges let it slide in the hatch/trunk, some do not, I would get an official answer from Wayne.
And as a comment about a previous post, I do not believe that building a box in front of the B pillar has ever been legal in db drag. If you're fiberglassing the floor of the car, it cannot extend in front of the B pillar, and if it is outside the area of the box, it may be considered a modification for bracing. Some people did place amps in front of the B pillar on the rear floorboard, but I'm not sure what the ruling on that will be.

How could that get him DQ'ed? The aluminum foil is not a modification, and the bondo is part of his enclosure. It would even be removable if need be.
