Contact your local retailers. Express interest in dB Drag Racing events. This is the best way to increase events in your area.

I second that motion. Details in Muscatine, both the Automotive Innovations (Davenport and Iowa City). I'm sure there's more stereo shops in IA.

I know the feeling, Nebraska,

1999 = 24 shows
2000 = 15 shows
2001 = 5 shows

Hello, With the sudden decline of show in my imediate area it is getting expensive to go out to shows......3 or four hours for a X1..at least they have one certified here every year...

Probably the reason behind not seeing many shows in Iowa is that when there are shows there aren't many people there but the turn out is getting a little better.
I work at Automotive Innovations in Davenport and the show that I ran we only had about 25 people show up to compete. When I ran the one at the Iowa City store the turnout was worse. Not sure how many showed up there but it wasn't awhole bunch. They were both good shows but we need more people interested in dbdrag in Iowa.
But next season should be better(i hope). We will have atleast 4 cars competing from the shop. 1 in Super Street 1-2, 1 in Extreme 1-2, 1 in Extreme 3-4 (at this time could change) and another that is undecided. Those cars should be some attention getters so hopefully we'll work up some interest around here.

The vast number of 3x Events dramatically hurt the attendance at 1x Events this past season. I believe this upcoming year you will see a total of 12 triples spread across the nation in hope to rise the attendance at 1x events to help retailers, which what dB Drag is about. Only time can tell in this case.

Nebraska shows suck... even the 3x wasn't good, there was barely any turn out.

Mainly, I think it's because stereo west stopped doing them, that killed the rivalry between metro and stereo west and therefore killed all the shows, I wouldn't expect to see more than 1 (MAYBE, just MAYBE 2) shows next year here in NE, that 3x is already scheduled, I dont know why, I suppose it gained NE furnature mart a little business.

JMHO.

May I also add... I dunno if you hit up any shows at Stereo west thomas, but they truley were the only shows I have been to when it wasn't upto the competitor to make the show fun. The employees really got into it! I miss those days.

Stereo west did do some good shows. First show i ever competed in was at S.W. They were alot of fun and always had a pretty good turnout.

I know why NFM is having another one....

they take all the registration fee's put them in the stock market for 7 months, and take the 1/2 intrest made after 7 months to, have trophies made for half the people that won. Then they take all the money left and stick it in there BIG ass pockets...

what about sound waves...??? what are you guys up to? F150, (i can never remember your name)

I don't under why, they allow car racing in the parking lot at aksarben why couldn't metro, SW, or anyone hold show there?

hmmm, oh well....

We are kicking around the idea of having a show, but we dont have the space for it. So we would have to find somewhere to hold the show. like i said we are kicking around the idea, just dont know how easily we will be able to put one together.

I am contemplating having a show next year. However, in the past the turnout has NOT been worth doing it.

I now have the capability of doing it onsite and possibly indoors. We'll have to wait and see.

If you want shows, you need to get more people to attend the shows.

Are you saying the Warren Street store wasn't capable of an indoor show, Jeff?!?! I can recall a few indoor shows at the shop there. I can't imagine you getting a bigger location than the Warren Street shop

I know if you guys are having a big show I'll either drive up or hitch a ride with someone, you guys have had one(four) of the VERY FEW fun shows I've been to.

I'd like to see more shows in neb, i used to do usac shows and i always had fun at SW when they held a 3x show or something, it seemslike they don't want to hold them anymore. Probably for the fact they aren't making any money on them, (right KYLE).

Oh well it will be good to see wayne put the hammer down on number of 3x's for next year, That way the 1x shows are fun and we get to see more than just 10 or 15 cars.

Thanks. I would like to have the shows, as I (we) have fun at them also. It's just a matter of being able to make it worth it.
