Does anybody know if any points aquired during the season can be moved from a vehicle you started the season with to one that has just been built if they are in different power classes? I might be going from AMA 3-4 to AMA 1-2 and I haven't attained any points yet so it doesn't really matter, just wanted to know.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I think I have sold my 4 15" DVCs and was going to go with a pair of Juggs or DDs.
So I would be going from the 3-4 woofer class to the 1-2. I've got about 30 pts. so far in the 3-4 class.

The way I understand the rules is that a competitor must get at least 50% of his yearly points with the vehicle he plans to take to finals. I'm not sure about switching classes, though.

The only thing that I see in the rules talks about switching vehicles. In case you Wreck your car or something. And then you must have earned at least half of your finals points with the car you are going to finals with. I think that you can switch classes when ever you want. I don't see anything about that. Just that you can compete in only one class at any one event.

Wayne is the man to ask though....

You are correct. You can switch classes if you desire. However, once you RSVP for the finals, you can't change classes.

Are the classes no longer done by power ratings? Or is that just in the Pro and expert classes? Damn, I'm outa the loop too far to know the basics anymore. Oh well, sorry for this basic question, just started to get fuzzy, even before my friend Foster brings his friend Guiness to the table. After they arrive, all bets are off, and it's time to talk to our favorite friend JD!!!

Oh well, time to get back to work
