The addition is permanent. All points after a given cutoff date count for the next season's finals. The leaderboard was supposed to do this automatically but (due to a bug) was not counting the previous year's finals. I discovered the omission when "sprucing" up the stats page. The finals was listed for each competitor but their points accrual for the show was 0. This has been corrected.
