Wayne, could you take a look at the "Circumventing the amp quantity limitation" and my latest reply 02-03-2004 10:51 AM, I feel that it is very valid point and needs to be addressed.

why are we changing from 1000 to 700 on battery size now geeze smaller batteries are not availible to handle 2 1000 watt amps at a full burp , like i said my 2 cent aint worth one cent , street max class is street version of ss lets have some extra batteries for street max let it stand one extra battery. for both street max 1-2 and 3-4 ,or lets make it easier one cap per amp with only one extra battery ,back basic.......

Rules Look Great!
any way to have an illustration describing permitted installation locations for two seaters?
this would clarify the b/c pillar question.

Hey thanks to everyone who worked on the rules and great job [Cool] ...looking forward to building! [Big Grin] [Wink] I think i may have caught a mistake and wasn't sure if you would/wouldn't fix it so i thought i just post it anyway...in section 2-3, the mistake is bolded. Thanks again everyone!! [Cool]

2-3
Example:
A competitor who normally competes in the Super Street 2 class shows up at an event and decides that his normal class is too competitive for his taste.

I think a drawing needs to be added to explain this part of the rule... cause almost any factory dash angles back down toward the firewall, so i would assume that you could slant your dash back toward the firewall. Also by the way I am reading it you could make you dash 6" deep and make it completely out of 1/4" steel and it woul dbe legal as long as it went from A pillar to A pillar. Any help here guys???

Good catch on the typo.

I also reworded the bullet point regarding the flat area of the dash in section 3-11a.

It now reads...

• The plane of the dash bounded in the front by the firewall, in the back by the trailing edge of the dash, and for a distance of 12 inches to the left and 12 inches to the right (measured horizontally) of the sensor placement location must be completely flat with respect to the ground.

OEM references to Extreme interiors are irrelevant.

The trailing edge of your dash defines the edge of your dash. From that point back, your vehicle must pass the 30 inch rod test.

I'll try to get Celise to do some more drawings.

I found an error in the Matrix. The Super Street division is limited to 2 alternators, not unl. I have made the change. Please click on refersh when viewing the matrix.

One thing I did not see in street max rules is bed cuts. It does not say anything about there being or not being any. Did i miss something or what

I don't remember where it is, but the rules say bed cuts are allowed in street max.
