with them all being the same model, same rms same everything except size. what could i expect to gain from 12" to a 15". i know it would put you in a different class but what is the differance if the subs are the same specs

If everything is the same except the baskets and cones, I would have to say more cone area= more air movement.

There's more to look into then just this( Power of the amps and box size for example). I know someone that lost over a db going from 4 15's to 4 18's.

I would agree that bigger sub would have more cone area but without the correct box size. YOu not gonna get that hard boom.
