I have been talking with "pimpin at my house" and we talked about my tube that I'm workin/playin with....he said that he never seen a tube do well for daily...I am putting together a 95 voyager and will run a single 15 or 18 on 2-3k power....I have a 18" internal tube with 1" walls now...got a crunch GP15D2 I'm going to test with....3.5^ft and have it @32hz....its like 25" long and port need to be in the 30" ball park....we spoke on porting it for best output and cone control, but he piped up to say he never seen tubes do well for daily. Any input guys on the sq? And porting out the back and don't want it to unload too fast. Some say 6" aero port...is that a good size to keep control with the sub at the other end? Its not that far away less then 6" from motor

they play great it's more about the sub and tuning, i run them sealed most of the time. for the best Sq the rounder the box the better sence sphere type boxes are hard to do, a tube is the next best thing.

My 96 voyager liked the sub on passengers side faceing the side and port on drivers on other side. Sub 4 inches away from the side.
Really...cool so I got about 48" from wheel well to wheel well...and tube about 26.5" so 4 from the pass side...and you guys think a 6" aero ports good enuff?

Ok....got a 3.5^ft net with about 45" of port tuned to 40 hz (32 hz -3db) 1 08 crunch gp 15...and 1 crunch P1400.2 (750-800 wrms) amp for testing...the sub sealed was not for me, but on the ported side it was very nice...I put the face of the sub 4" from pass rear wheel whell...and port to driver side...let's say it pushin air past the rear windows and the sq is not bad at all...jazz, rap, rock...did really very good for the price you can get em as a retail cuztmer....in a week or so when I get stuff moved in the new location...rustys gettin a call for a dc 18...and we will put 1500 wrms on her and see if the tube is > then the box

Try an external port. I love tubes for daily. That tube you have is a bit small for an 18. I would use the same tube with a better 15 when your ready to upgrade.
