GLH huh? I used to have an 85 Shelby Charger. Not much done and only ran low 14s, high 13s. But that was calculated with a G meter.
There used to be a guy around here in Philly with a GNX, during the street races he would pull up with it in an enclosed trailer, pull it out, spank everybody including the Twin Turbo Hennessy Viper and the Skyline. Then he would just load it back up and dissapear into the night.
The closest anyone came to beating him was a Supra that ran high 9s. The GNX still gottem though.
Of course I have no time slips from those guys but thats the way it was. There was also a typhoon that would beat alot of people but then he wrecked it.

Do you remember George Tranchitella? He used to use Orion. he had 2) Shelby Chargers and he also had a white Typhoon in extreme class that had purple and yellow accents and alot of acrylic inside. That was one real Typhoon I knew about

Grand National technology has not changed in 8 years.... I still read up on them and am hoping to get another one for SQ/Demo. It only takes $10k IN ADD ONS AND A NICE SOLID gn TO GO 9'S.... When I would go to Mustang vs. GN days at tracks.... 9's and 10's were very common...

If someone said they had a 9 second civic, then that would be really hard to believe. But daily driven GN that are sub 10s, very highly probable. Now, what was its peak SPL?

it will take 700 hp to do 9s in a stock body GN, and I dont think you can get that with a 3.8 block
