has anyone ever done this and what are the things i need to know, will it be like a car or wat

I've done a several boats. For the most part there the same, except you have to run ground back to the batteries.

yep, its just easier cuz you have more room

we had to redo the boat wiring we ran a fused wire from the battery to a switch that turns on the radio

use marine grade equipment. some folks do not & have problems later.

i did one boat install and it sucked. especially where we put the amps was a PITA to get too. if it is a wakeboarding boat like i did for my buddy then good f'in luck trying to run wire down inside the tower. like an idiot he didnt get them pre-ran to save money so we had to do it and it took us FOREVER!!! you can check out most of the install here... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=2196&hl=amatt85&st=0

Boats pose a lil bit more of a challenge when running wire. It's no longer just under the carpet, you might have to drill a couple of wire run holes when doing runs in the hull. And as already mentioned, you have to run a seperate ground directly to the battery.

Just double check where you are drilling and screwing into and you should be good to go.
