I would reccomend the DD 8, not just because its ballsy... but if you feel like dropping some extra cash dd of course will customize it for you, anything from larger speaker wires to stiffer spiders....it would be worth looking into if nothing else to see what they could do

I'm averaging about 140 just on music with 2 8's and I was only getting 100 watts to each of them. The DD 8's are impressive and I'll put 'em up against anything! . So far I've only burped a 141.6 with one DD 8(old motor design) and 400 watts. i believe that's what jess did - but we're all louder now!
Sorry, I would post a pic or two, but I can't get into my host right now - maybe later!

I just did a conv mustang gt 96 .. I have never hear anything like the 2 1008s I sold him. I made the box pretty much to spec with a longer port for a deeper tune.. . Even with the top down there was bass to spair for sure. They are amazing. They were only seeing 400rms a piece too .. very efficient little jokers .. and it seemed they wanted more power. . He said that was more than he wanted in the first place so we stayed with that amp.
I have never been a fan of 8's . . Now, I will be selling plenty.
