Well My car got broken into today. I have no idea what to say or how to express my anger at people who do these things. My two bd 1501's were stolen along with my alpine 9853 radio. Lots of connectors and distrobution blocks are gone. My MT's survived the assault and were not taken. Good thing I grinded many of the screw heads off when tightening the woofers down.

So I am down two amps and a radio, and other parts. My car was not ruined by the theft so that was a plus. My emblems are gone and MY CAR IS STILL WITH ME. I decided to remove my car from my current residence permanently. All my CD's were stolen and some other very very important work items are missing. My alarm was armed and active, apparently they came in the day time and took stuff while people and myself were at work and nobody heard the alarm.

To all my fellow competitors, no amount of descretion can save you from theft. Garage your stuff everyday. I will from now on.

Anyways, I will be out of the show scene for a while but I will return.

Christian

man this so suck's im sorry man [Frown] ****en thieves should die and burn.

i know rfvega is gonna jump in here and say did you have this or that. it would of prevented it.

but you know what theirs really nothing we can do. only the norm if they want your **** they will take it. can be as eazy as car jacking you. wich is alot more eazier then messing with a retarted alarm.

i think all we can do is have an alarm lock our vehicles and keep an eye and ear open as much as possible but the best thing to do is insure it. at least if it does get stolen you can replace the stuff.

oh yah christian good luck man i wish you good luck on rebuilding and coming back stronger then ever!

all i can say is that sucks, but for future advice if you dont have any room in the garage you should back into the driveway to where you cant even stand between you're bumper and the garage door so that no one can get a good enough angle to jack you're ****. I know on my car i steel bars going between the back seat and trunk area so that no one can even get close to jacking anything from the trunk through the inside of the car. I got broke into 2 nights ago, but luckily my alarm scared them away and i get left with a broken window. I feel bad for you and almost had to be doing the same thing, just contact insurance and see what they can do.

All my cars are insured with full coverage all the way around. But to my knowledge nobody covers stolen equipment, but a call tomorrow will yield more information from the insurance company.

yes companys cover stuff some companys its alllrady included in the coverage some you have to add it. i asked my state farm agent 3 times to make sure my stuff was covered they said yes as long as i have pictures and if its bolted down its covered. i know geico wich i dont like covers it also on a seperate policy and same with mercury.

oh yah dont ask if they cover it. depending on your deductible if any just tell them you want to file a claim dont let them bs you. unless its writing on your insurance policy that stuff like that isnt covered then you can file a claim.

ps to everyone i know i recomend state farm. i was actually paying like 150 a month for comphrensive and collision, liability with a $1000 decutible with aig and they would not cover audio just $500 for the headunit.

called state farm over phone qoute was 110 ended up paying $87 a month for comphrensive collision liability $0 dedutible and audio and rims included, and towing and road side assistence and medical insurance for my 2 year old son. but i have heard some people pay an ish load with them.

ya there has been a run in the sacramento area. my tahoe was attempted to be broken into a couple weeks ago at my girls apartment. They pulled out the inner fender well to try to cut all my starter/ battery wire to disable the alarm, but i have my alarm on lock down so it is nearly impossible to get in the tahoe with out the alarm going off. so i heard the alarm in the apartment i jumped up went out side and they took off leaving there cutters and their bricks they **** on the ground by my truck. So after alot of soldering on my back to reconnect all wiring im back in buisness. they cut all wired going to the starter, battery cables, abs wires, and ruined my inner fender, if i could have caught them i would have stomped the american history x Style!!! this is just rediculous. car audio is one of my fav. hobbies and reading ish like this damn near makes me sick. i've only had the pleasure of catching someone 'in the act' one time, but trust me, he got what he deserved. it seems like its this time of year or something, two nights ago someone tried to get into my car (failed) and then last night someone tried getting into my neighbor's car. i've been keeping my car at other places lately just to play it safe. my parents thought i was stupid for paying $600 for a security system, but now i think they understand.

you just gotta tell yourself, what goes around, comes around. and damn do i hope it comes around 5x worse for them.

I said enough (for the most part) in Steve's stolen Honda post thread.

I will just say you have a better chance of the alarm being more effective if you customize it (extra sirens, back up battery/siren, pager, etc...) Also, comprehensive insurance with a rider for stereo gear (some insurance companies).

that sucks that this is happening to you guys.

I called my insurance company, and since I have full coverage, I asked what would happen if anything got stolen. since I have a $500 deductible, I'd have to pay that, they they'd pay the rest. but here's the kick in the ass: I need reciepts. I'd say 75% of the stuff in my car I've bought online (ie: forums, ebay, etc), and the rest (wiring and crap) I bought from my friend jonah that owns a shop, and he doesn't give me reciepts (but he could write one up) whats the deal with that? I have around 6 grand (msrp) in my car (prolly payed around 2 for everything.. maybe 3) and I'll end up getting ****ed in the ass if I ever have my stuff stolen.

I swear, being at school, having a few shotgun shells laying on my dash after small game season, it's a pretty good theft deturrent, (which imo, is better than alarm.. cuz this owner is packing heat)

having my car on sounddomain doesn't really help much. but living in the middle of nowhere helps.. and everyone that knows me or has heard of me knows that I'll find out in one way or another that I'll find them. and yes, shoot first, ask questions later. (esp if I see them holding the stuff.. I have a nice M1 or 7mm mag that that could fit out my window at night)
