Ok so I have a sweet opprotunity. I can go ahead with my original plan(Eclipse CD8445,Image Dynamics CTX4 x2, Image Dynamics CXS54. 4 Audioque LW8s, A Bunch Of Crossfire Amps)OR I can do something different. That something is putting a camper shell on my truck and throwing a couple subs back there in a big box with lots of power. I'm wanting SQL/SPL. Little bit more towards the SPL.

Here is a pic of the truck,

I definately wouldnt go with 4 audio-que 8s for spl or sound quality. I have heard one in many boxes. It neither is impressive loud or as an audiophile driver. If you want sound quality which is what I am seeing with all the image dynamics go pure sound quality. That would be if you listen to music alot and actually want something to sound good. It is harder to go SQ than SPL by far. Now if all you care about is being loud and playing lil john then go the spl route. The truck definately looks better without the camper. If you go the camper route is it going to be a wall with 2 18s stacked?

Well I went and bought the camper. I just said the hell with it, it only cost $175 and is in almost perfect shape.

I was thinking 2/4 18s firing directly into the cab.

The reason for the Image Dynamics stuff is because I know they produce a good product that does what it is intended to do, get loud and be clear.

I've been looking at different setups. I want loud but not stupid loud. I'm poised between 2 15" Crossfire XT215s or 2 18" RE Audio SX

i have a single crossfire fifteen xt215 and i really like it..a lot..loud and clear is the name of the game. Mind you it won't win any awards in sound quality but for the average noncompeting guy in sq, totally fine i'd say.

D44(for now till I get my D60 built) w/ 4.11s and a lsd, 14BFF w/ 4.11s and lsd, 6.5L Turbo Diesel, Built 4L80E, NP241.

The steering is cross-over. I'll be converting to a high-steer version of the x-over steering with hydro assist. Also be converting the rear 14B to discs.

Hopefully in a couple of months I'll be taking it from 8.5" lift to 15"-18" lift with 46" Claws.

yea I'm going to be firing it through the windows.

No I got it from a local dealer that I've known forever. He had a few sitting back in the back and I told him I'd give em $150 and he said $175 and I said sold. Its a Covermaster and I looked @ retail on those and they are right around $1600.

I've noticed my mpg has gone up too. From 18.2 mpg to around 19.3. Makes my happy. Now I just need to start buying my **** for the system.

Right now it looks like its going to be 2 DD9917s with 2 VR2000Ds on each one.
