Yes, it's the newer kind. Do a search on here and/or sounddomain. I researched it for weeks before taking the plunge. From what i've read, it does MORE than the rated rms. Of course you HAVE to have the electrical to back it up. Definitely pushing the $hit outta those dub7's.

I actually got a pretty good deal on the subs. Plus, they're only overpriced if you can't afford 'em [Wink]

I have an Armada as well. How do those subs sound facing back like that? I was always under the impression that subs up and port back was the best way to go in an SUV......

im sure at retail my DD subs would cost about the same as retail for the W7
so i guess its really all about how you choose to spend your money.

Well... I'm about as old-school as they come. I've never heard subs-up, and port back. All of my life, I've faced the subs to the rear. The couple of times i played around with subs up, it didn't pound as hard. Now, this is the first time i've had so much power, so i dunno, maybe it would've been better. I don't build boxes, so it'd be pretty expensive to keep trying different ones, ya know? I guess my feeling was to stick with what i know works.

I will tell u this though.....I'm pounding the $hit outta my hatch!! I've dynamatted it pretty good, and it still rattles like crazy. Mostly, it's those stupid pop-out side windows back there. I gotta figure out how to sound-deaden those.

Past a certain volume though, you don't even hear the rattle [Big Grin] Although i hate to think what people outside the truck are thinking. I know i hate to hear a rattle-trap drive past me too!

What do you have in your armada? What year? I can't find a friggin dash kit for my '06.

I have a 2005 Armada LE Smoke grey. I have 2 15 inch Resonant Engineering SX's getting ready to go in there but I haven't start my install yet. I have always faced subs and ports backwards as well but everyone is telling me that subs up port backwards sounds louder and cleaner and also meter's higher. I plan on removing my rear windsheild wiper cause I know that thing is gonna vibrate like a mofo. What kind of dash kit are you looking for?

Exactly!!

They are a great sounding sub. But then again for the retail price they better be. Then again I remember a number of years back Chili from Team Pure Sound used a stroker 18 in a SQ car. It sounded good also...REALLLY good.

Probably cost less then the 3 w7's also. Too each their own.

I removed my windshield wiper first day. lol!

The '04 and '05 dash kits don't have a cut-out for my hvac display, also, the holes for the large knobs are a little off.(i know, 'cause i bought an '05 kit, and butchered it trying to get it to work). I've contacted Metra and Scosche, and they both say it's coming soon, but no exact timeframe as of yet.

Got ya I thought the your were maybe looking for a wood grain kit. FYI the Scosche kit was not right for the 2004-2005 Armada and Titans. The buttons were in the wrong order on the kit. I ended up ordering a kit directly from Nissan....I don't see a 2006 kit on the site yet though. Here is a link.

Stock for now. Except for the big "3", and a Kinetik 1800 under the hood. I ordered my iraggi 260 amp last Monday. he told me it'd be about a week turnaround time. It's been about a week and a half, but i talked to Dom yesterday, and he assured me that it'd be at my doorstep by Fri./Sat.!!
