let me start off by saying that this should be a fairly quick build as my completion date is BY APRIL 7th! im glassing two SE 10's prolly ported, will have to see how much room i think i will end up with. looks to be ~3 cubes. on to the pics
this is it for now, glassing begins asap in the morning. the tape looks as though some ends are loose, but i promise you that their is tape under those loose ends, the glass will push them down as well.
meade-i know ive gone back and forth with you about ideas and all , what do u think can be squeezed out of this from looking at the pics? im hoping 3+ cubes, it doesnt seem too bad of a judgement really. thanks for all the help youve given from your posts and PM's, as well as everyone else that has given me ideas.

then overtop of the tin foil i always hit it with some tire shine...helps act as a mold release...and the foil peels off easily

i never thought of the tire shine idea, but i HATE foil with a passion haha. i may do that though as it will ensure no leaks.

Basically any petrolelum based product will act as a mold release...ie the spray glue on the foil and the tire shine.
If you get some resin on some fabric, have a bottle of WD40 handy...spray the spot with the WD40 while the resin is still wet, rub it really well, and you won't have a hard spot there when it all dries.

I would stop right now and remove teh seats and rear deck cover. Winslow's tip works, but it is better to have nothing to get resin on, than to try and clean it.
Also--if you are planning on removing this, make sure and think ahead of how it will come out. Looking at it--will it come out the back of the vehicle? Because it isn't coming out the front. To complex of a mold with fiberglass and it won't break free to come out.

pimpin, its not much of an over lap and its farther than it looks.
im not glassing all the way to the edges, i just covered as much as i could to keep things clean and unharmed. its gunna be sealed, and the front face will be finished up and sealed off from the trunk.

looks awesome so far, enjoy verticle surface work tho, i hate it with a passion. you might wanna try a tip i learned from watching deaftones, using panel tabs just to hold your contours. they are cheap and easy, just drill a lil hole in the metal for the panel tab to fit, and it would hold your fleece against the surface in the verticle application. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8041900151&category=33654 since the tabs wont last that long from pulling out or whatnot, you dont have to worry anyways, since you just want to use it for holding the trunk shape. you could go by and just grind the plastic haeds off if you need to release the mold from the vehicle. It will help you if your trying to hold the contour.

actually i jipped the design a little bit to just go sealed for now as money just isnt permitting the full build.

well of course it didnt work out for me, usually never does.
try again next time.
meade,u know the problems im having with this car. i think its the fact that i have reason to go extreme on it. i dont have anyone to help with the glassing which really sucks, i have no competitions to make or anything. theres really no reason to go all. sooooo back to the drawing board.

im not scared to go nuts on the car and do the glassing. i just cant see a reason to do it, there are no shows around here really to show off the car, or any thing like that. theres maybe 4 huge shows, and those are minitruck shows.
as ive said before, we will see what happens. I may redo the whole thing with elevation audio equipment as i've heard amazing things about that company.

Don't do it for the shows, do it for you. Think of it as a learning tool. Think of the pride you'll have once you have it the way you want it. the chances for showing it off after it is done will increase.
