not to sound like im hating cause im not but mounting amps on the box is not a good idea and with this being a daily beater it would make the problem even worse. i think my buddys us amps came with a piece of paper that said mounting amps to the box is worse then mounting them to the front bumper

If your box is built well enough I doubt mounting the amps to it would really be a problem. If its flexing so much that its shakin the crap outta your amps then you've got bigger things to worry about than finding a spot to mount the amps.I've mounted D2's to my box without a problem and we all know how touchy those things are.

well, the rear of the box is a good 1.5", soon to be 4" thick.. so I'm not too worried about it vibrating, plus, I have the box braced inside with pieces of mdf cut in 45* angles. just need to fiberglass it. going to wait until it warms up so I can leave some windows down

You should be ok with the mounting of the amps if vibration is minimal. With them being on 1.5 inches and braced, you should be good.
Looking good so far. I'd love to have one or two of those subs to play with.
