Just for anyone who has been contemplating this like I was for the longest time... I have a 2003 Impala and in the trunk I have 2 ten inch Rockford power series subs in a big abc box. I have the subs against the rear seats firing up. The sound was completely f'ed up and I couldn't figure out for the life of me why... So I decided to wall off the subs from the rest of trunk effectively forcing the sound up through the rear deck. The difference is night and day! I can't believe how incredible the higher bass notes sound (up around 60-70Hz) as well as the lower tuning frequency of around 30Hz. My eyes and hair are now soing an involuntary dance to the music!
I'm just maknig this post for any of you who don't wantto fire your subs towards the rear of your car in the trunk. This method works very well and leaves lots of room to mount amps!
