yea in someone else's vehicle right? Maybe one day if theres a sunday show. But ed, that wouldn't be a problem would it? I'm pretty sure if I cant get there in time, brian would be willing to help me out. LMK on here thanks....if i leave here at 5pm for the show, it'll take me till at least 6pm depending on traffic

well, once I get this cap on, I'm going to do everything else. If I can't make it, you can't give them to brian and have him either hold them for me to mail them over? the metro is down. sub is actin tardish. one coil reads 3.5 ohms and the other 7.9ohms. go figure. when you burp it it sounds like it's swelling in and out... kinda strange. im letting it sit overnite and checking it again in the morning...so it may have to go to Oklahoma. still hittin a 151 though... barely. we got it over a 152 at the headrest and the dash with the new box. . the old voltage regulator was a peice of crap from Pasco. Nate at Excessive hooked us up with a kickbutt one. works like a charm. and thanks to Scottie Johnson, we also are using a powermaster 993 step down as well. then sub acts like its on crack. oh well...
hey Ed, wanna send us a 15" T3 sub to try for free? Think you got one that will beat the DD99z15?

Bro dont send that sub to dd just order the coil and glue and i will show you how to recone it, it is not a big deal. Trust me if i can do it you can also. Give me a call......I will show you how its done one time and then you can do all your own recones. Will save lots on shipping and time down.

when i came in they were alot closer... 3.1ohms and 3.5ohms i know they are never going to be exact. but she definately is back on track. i reran the wires, a heavier gauge (speaker wire)and ran a set for each coil, instead of connecting them in the box and running to one wire (10gauge), now each coil has its own 10gauge wire. and another thing was the powermaster 993, its actually meant for a 16volt setup, the metro is actually only 14volt. so i had to change some of the wiring a bit... (there's no instruction manual for 14 volt) but i'm pretty sure we got it now. and the scores are back closer to their old self. like i said, last time on dash we were at 151.5, now we are at 152.2dB. it's down a bit at the headrest now (from a 152.0 down to a 151.6) but its now louder at the dash. i'm going to re-adjust some amp settings tomorrow. i think the sub is pretty well broken in now.

what was the origional coil configuration? If you are reading 3+ ohms on a 1 ohm or ,5 coil i would replace it now,before the dreaded smoke nice numbers though,,,,

In my experience it is time for a recone. Dont let a couple of extra burps cost you an amp.....for me it is alright to error on the side of caution/////
