OK I am posting this for Jerry Davis the Owner of Nw audio as he is having log in problems
#1 the owner was not on the mic all day, the manager of the sales floor Jeff was.
Ralph and USACI were not the only ones to blame, there are issues when you have 200+ cars to run period! There were thousands of spectators. No one says it couldnt be done better but not everything is fixable when there is a ton going on with an event this big

I don't see how 200+ cars and thousands of specators has anything to do with scheduling.
20 cars or 200 cars, if you plan for dbDrag to only get done when the USAC portion is completely finished it shows a lack of respect for our competitors.

I was there spectating. It was the biggest show NWA has had yet. I heard on the mic, 100+ entries. I would assume those were the Usaci entries. Someone said there was 4 dB Drag entries. This was at 2PM when I left. In ever situation, things can always be better, ran better, etc., etc.

i lived 4 and a half hours away. it was a long drive to make it and be there on time. if i stayed i wouldnt of made it back till 2am. not a big deal but some peole have to work and stuff i was prepaired to be gettn back around 10 at night. no one should have to wait 8 hours at a show just to play!!!
I get your point, I guess I am just different.
One time I drove 6 hours out to a show north of Pittsburgh. I was a single pointer. The schedule said it started at 8 a.m. so I left at 2 a.m.
When I got there they said the schedule was wrong, it should have been 8 p.m.
So I hung around town till 8 p.m. then competed and got 3rd.
Then I drove 8 hours or so to up state NY for a single pointer that started about 9 a.m. sunday morning. Got 2nd and went home which was a 6 hour drive.
Got home around midnight. Wasnt bad at all.

Know what's funny.... his thread ABOUT the show, and inviting people to it, wasn't even half a page... but the complaining about things is up to 2 pages now.
I'm curious just how many true "dbDrag" folks were actually there. And I'm not talking Usaci guys who were curious to try it out. You can't deny the strong following Usaci has in the midwest, and how loyal they are to supporting NW Audio's annual show. They know how much time and effort Jerry and the guys put into getting this even bigger and better from the previous year.
Yeah, some things could have been done better, but how about taking the issues up with Wayne, and maybe he can try to ensure it doesn't happen again.
Oh, and GREAT JOB to NW Audio btw.. I think THAT part wasn't stressed enough.

i have travled to lots of shows and lots of hours at shows. an NO DISRESPECT to nwa it was a good turn out and lots of people. like ive said they had to mics set up one for local and one for usac and then when they was done with this then u could play dbdrag! and i did call wayne to let him know. i posted this because i felt it was a slap in the face of dbdrag to let usac and local compete then after they are finished playing then we could do drag. that shows HOW MUCH USAC CARES OR WANTS TO PROMOTE DBDRAGRACING!!! this is my point.

i believe the estimation of entries by us was with car show also.
if you don't believe check out another organization forum where some contestants have posted pictures already and there will be more later from us also.
the db drag portion was minimal in numbers. but i agree what was said if it was said like that was not correct in fairness to those contestants.
we spend about 2 months of 1 employees hrs promoting the show in our kansas city metro area and futher with our other respected dealers in kansas, missouri, nebraska, and iowa.
we try hard to give our customers the best show possible and the most prizes possible which the competitors have access to win also. $15,000 worth. no joke!
we love db drag thats why we do a triple point event ever year here.
we wish more would attend foresure!

through out the period of the day we had over 3100 spectators at the show. Not all at once but throughout the day.

Look at the damn pics, regardless of the EXACT number thats the BEST turnout I have seen from a show in a long time.
THANK you!! geez!! How many of you guys were there who are trying to pick everything apart?? I'd be curious how many ACTUAL dbDrag folks were there, and not just usaci guys who were curious about making a run at it. There's so much talk about the "good ol' days" and how huge the shows were.. well, here was one! An actual REAL 3x event, like it should be.

There were 8 total DB Drag guys and gals at the show 5 that ran and 3 that left. That is all I know there may have been more but they didnt run. I know that the 5 that did run ran there qualifying in the local lanes and that when they were done with the local event they did the eliminations for drag. I dont know all the details of what happened at the show. As you all know DB Drag lost there midwest guy that does events and they do not have a new guy or girl yet so If anyone knows someone that wants the job have them talk to Wayne. Either way I am sure that it will all be better next year. Hope to see you all again next year and even more of you in the future.
