Yes it is time to step it up. My glassed box won't pull out, so I guess I'ma have to take all of the screws out and cover it with a blanket and get my Hong Kong Fuey on and then build a new box. I'm trying to stay in NW but I'd like to step it up a few dbs. Its nerve wrecking but fun to think of the possibilities. I'm keeping my amp but changing subs and maybe add a batt. If I'ma win ESP 3 I need to get on it. lol

Pete, you were in prime position to win the ESP Challenge and lead in the points but you did NOT earn any bonus points for participating in db Drag or NSPL. Db Drag is worth 5 and NSPL is worth 2. Add those 7 points to your 25 and you would be at 32 tied for first with Nick. Plus you had one low score in a bass race round which brought your average down costing you a couple bonus points keeping you from out eight winning the ESP challenge. Yet all events offered next time and the win may be yours.

Greg I'd love to do a wall if I had a 2nd car. But I need my back seat cuz Devin sits in the back. And with that said thats why I stay in the NW class is cuz I'm coming from the very back of my vehicle. Its a challenge but hey thats part of the fun. And Greg I have a kinda stupid question but can u explain or direct me to the rules of NSPL? Cuz I've done it before but have never really been sure of what I can do or place the mic. It looks like the competition is getting thick so I gotta be ready.

Yeah going over was very bad. Not any more only winning scores are factored in. This will really tighten up the results between competitors. You are the 5 way tie because of it.
I hear ya Mike. The rules are in the NSPL section of the db Drag forums.

So if you break out and loose the score is not couted ?So get a perfect score in qualfiying and then loose 1st round...wouldnt that be worth more points ?

Yes and No, it would be better for your average, say you do a 139.9, you will get an average for 9 points but if you lose, you wont get 1st place points of 10, you might get 2 or 3 depending on the place you take...

It would but if you get knocked out in the first round, you'll have very few points from doing well in the class. For Example:
Competitor #1:
5 pts for dB drag, 2 pts for NSPL, 3 pts for being in the 139.9 class, 7 pts for 7 people being in the class, 10 points for scoring (1) 9.9, and 2 pts for placing 5th (or worse) in the class = 29 points
Competitor #2:
5 points for dB drag, 2 pts for NSPL, 3 pts for being in the 139.9 class, 7 pts for 7 people being in the class, 8 points for scoring an avg of a .8 (39.7, 39.9, 39.8), and 8 pts for placing 2nd in the class = 33 points
Competitor #2 had a lower avg, but placed better in the brackets. There should only be a rare occasion that someone could be higher with only one 9.9.

I know for sure that it won't be one of the current top 2 on the list because they aren't even coming to this weekends events. Who's it gonna be?

That would be I Mike Longstreet. Ill be there to get in on some points. I need to avenge my no show at ESP 1. Hopefully I can make all the rest of the ESPs and then some. Looks like the season is gettin in gear. I do see that a few people already got pts for finals so they aren't out as much. That makes me feel behind. But I'ma keep competiting even after I qualify for finals. I'm hoping to make a few outta state comps and meet people. You know the fun stuff. Well back to the box I go.

Good enough for 3rd place at a comp at Perfect Sounds. lol da memories. I'm interested in seeing what everybodys been workin on and what new bloods coming. I may be bringing a couple people with me to compete but you know how people bs at the very end.

After event number 2 in Fairfield, Nick Probst remains on top of the ESP Challenge leaderboard. Let's see if he can repeat his performance today at event number 3.
