Hi there,
I am back home.
After 7 weeks, 8050 driven miles,
20 000 Pice, 24 hours HD Recording,
9 pounds more, and tons of fun bc of seing
so much of you friends over there.

I thank a lot of people for hospitality and I just can say
whenever you come to Germany, your invited to stay with me !

The report will take a long time, but then I will
name all the people who I thank.

So far see you again, hopefully...

I have already much invitings for next year and I try to
figure out how I can handle this.
Must find a way to travel cheaper, rental car sucks
and so on [Smile]
Maybe with train or bus?
I will find out and let you all know !

I hope all of you enjoyed the meetings "outside"
the dB Drag (but still dB Drag related) and
got maybe new motivations for the new season...

7 weeks of a rental car you could have bought a car then sold it at the end!

Nice to hear you are home safe.

Hi Mike, thanks !
Yes, buy a car, at first day, first minute, for how much thousands?
(or spending WEEKS before to find one, thousands miles away?)
Pay insurance as a foreigner?
(Think about all the paperwork, I DID it before)
Pay repairs instead of making a call and
get a brandnew car?
And sell it on the last day at a trip,
in a few minutes to all the 1000s of people
who WAIT for that car and get almost
the same you bought it for, after 2 months and
thousands of miles?

Well, a nice idea, but old, and not really working,
but basically your right [Smile]

Other idea is giving a US buddy a kind of money to use
HIS car for a while, BUT, am I really insured then?
I dont think so...

So unfortunately the only way is a rental car [Frown]
And the complain about the cost, every year, hehehe !
Its just a part of the game.

I think we can come up with an Oki car! You get a car here and we keep it for you for next year too!

Hey, oh really?
Lets see :
Please provide me a car with :
Good Sound system [Smile]
at least 180 HP
Space for 3 big suitcases.
25-30mpg regular
full coverage insurance
maybe SUV or at least full size.

I am willing to pay 20-25 Dollars a day
(gas not included)
The car has to be at Las Vegas for the CES show,
and I will drive it to Florida or New York I guess,
then it has to be picked up by one of you.
How do we handle damages or repairs?

That would be great !
Thank you for considering, you have now
10 months to arrange everything [Smile]
You need my drivers license?

Or did you mean I buy a car, and you store it?

Man, do I already plan for the next trip?
I cant believe it...
