Topic: multicell in sm
so according to the rulz they are not allowed in sm. is this correct? Competitors in the Street Max class are limited to a single battery 800 cubic inches (13110 cubic cm) or smaller. Additional Guidelines: Aftermarket batteries are acceptable. Batteries must be of the 12-volt variety. Hybrid (ie 12/16 volt) and/or custom-made batteries are prohibited. team ohio spl team baldman creations -------------------- Team Ohio Spl Team Baldman Creations

I don't see anything posted there that says a multicell is not allowed. My multi-cell fits the rules, as: It's under 800ci it's an aftermarket it's 12V and it's not a hybrid. -------------------- TEAM SUNDOWN

I believe by hybrid, they mean batteries capable of multiple voltages, like the 16V Kinetik with the 12 and 16 volt terminals on the same battery. Hybrid would indicate a combination of parts from different batteries also. If they do away with the multicells from StreetMax, then there will be noone allowed to run them, (or worth spending the money on them) and a lot of lost money floating around again, just like in Street Classes, but more, because I believe most of the StreetMax guys were buying up the multicells from the Street Guys. -------------------- TEAM SUNDOWN
