Greg was one of the nicest, most loyal competitors I had ever met. Being new in this sport, not many big time extreme guys want to talk to you....much less help you.
Greg always offered help, suggestions, and would go out of his way to speak to most anybody. He was loyal to his friends and his sponsors in everything he did.
Even when he was sick, he made sure he made the effort to call and check on his friends that he knew were traveling or working on a car for a show.
I think it would be only fair that he be included on this list.
We will always remember you Greg!
X200 billion. Thanks for putting this on here Carlton. You hit the nail on the head with how you described Greg.

If your going to claim that then what about Kyle Witherspoon if i remember right he was the first to use that design. and the first to break 170, 171, 172, and 173 with 2 subs. and they did not win the Ext. 1-2 in 2000 kyle did!
if i'm not mistaken kyle was with xs spl in 2000.he the one i'm talking about scott.hell me and kyle competed at shows back in 99 when i live in new mexico when he had 4 15's in his green monster then 6 12's .he won ex 1-2 with 2 dd 9917's and 8 fosgate bd 1500's or 1000.

I do not recall Kyle being on XS SPL, mainly just california guys, but you could add #3 in ss3-4 that year, and a couple other extreme vehicles, joe mcdermid, chad geary, roger...
How about the guy who brought ported to the spl world, and with his triangle ports that won finals for a good 4-5 years straight. The late John Fairchild, also brought big woofers to the game with the cv stroker. He, before anyone should be in the Hall of Fame. Where would we be without ports and big woofers?
Derrick Williams is up there too, in 00, he was doing darn near a 170,(louder than most ex vehicles in his ss5-8 set up).
Yah, lets put Iggy up there too, he would be doing a 196 if it weren't for all his posts.

I think that in order to select All Time Greatest must have stats to support his selection.
I have done my homework and without doubt Michael Muller, Big Oki, has the most impresive record of all time. Take a seat please, so I can tell you. He has the most points with an absurd 3125 points, about 700 more than the second most (Terry Brooks have 2400) and 2000 more than the third. He has won an icredible 223 first places and 26 seconds out of 263 events. He also has the second most first and most second places in triple pointers with 21 firsts, (Terry Brooks have won 22 out of 36), and 21 seconds. He has won a whoping 54 double pointers first places and 8 seconds and has a .848 winning %. The only flaw in his record is that he has not won any finals, but that should not blurr the fact that he is the top competitor of all time.
Terry Brooks should be mentioned because he has the second most points, 2400, and have won the most triple pointers, 22 out of 36. He has won 178 out of 211 shows, 22 out of 36 triple pointers and has .844 winning %. He won 1 finals but no world records.
Then there is Creative acoustics. They have the best winning % with a .916 (tied with Michal Hughes) and have the most world champinships wining 6 out of seven times. They also have 7 world records, have won 8 out of seven triple pointers and are among the 5 competitors with more than 1000 points in their carreer. The only flaw to their record is they're not active.
There is also Steve Cook who's still active. He has a .866 wining %, have won 5 finals with 3 seconds and a third and is third in most triple pointers with 16 out of 19 (Tim Heath has won 17 out of 23). But his most impresive stat are his 13 world records.
I think Team Gates changed the game the most and acomplished several milestones, but they were not active enought time. Scott, Kyle, Roger and Jaime have great records but can't compete with the ones I just mentioned.

I think that select few regestered members should be nominated each year at finals for many reason.
Some for records, points, years, contributions to the sport ect.
We already do rookie of the year why not.

Actually Scott, Kyle saw that my car was doing good with the port on the driver side in my car and showed up at Finals with the same design. Roger and I had been doing a lot of testing with that design all year.

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate it veeeery much. But I still think there are way more than 10 people who should be named. A top 10 is way too less and there are so much things to look at when somebody did something for dB Drag, not just SPL, not just points, not just 1st places, not just world titles... And not even just competitors. As mentioned before, John Fairchild earned a place belong them. And yes, also Detlef Hagel for bringing dB Drag forward in Germany (and parts of Europe).
So much names, so much good doings everywhere...
But I think not one mentioned name should not be on that list. All are very ok so far... (and some are missing...)

Danny Britain/All of team budweiser - They work on tons of vehicles, even if they are in the same class as themselves. They have probobly built more loud vehicles as a group then any other "team"
Mikko/Marko and the other SPL Dynamics SPL team - They made extreme where its at today, no one else (in my opinion) would have ever figured that out and made the 180 obtainable.
Alma Gates - The demo vehicles she had built recieved more exposure than any one else in dbdrag. Everyone remembers the red bronco, I believe she has been a PERFECT representation of the sport.
Fakuda - For showing that a vehicle can be loud and still sound good.

Ok they are all great competitors, but first of all who built Alma's trucks? wasnt Alma! there are alot of people that were behind the success of her that never even get mentioned and im kinda sick of hearing it! Second are you really saying that Mikko and Marko are the only ones out there that ever got loud? Wow maybe we should all just quit working the hours and spending the time we all do and wait for them to give us our next design. Try giving some credit to the other people out there that have also done new things! Im not saying anything about Mikko and Marko in this post i have alot of respest for them both.

I've been there 5 years under my name, once more under Steve Baker right when I was getting the van, and also did Keith Fitch's, Jerry Trimarchi, and the first two years of Chad Burchett's
3 W Records under mine, 2 championships, 2 deathmatchs losses, and 2 under Chad's
That being said, I don't deserve to be up there with many of those names, but included to a point is nice.
I personally think it should go to the older school guys, like Jaime, Jay, Cook, etc. There was a LOT more competition back in those days. Not to discredit what we do now...

Everytime this thought is brought up it does nothing but start a pissing match. IF its done no matter who is in charge of it someone that deserves to be in it will be left out and someone that doesnt will be included.
As far as the Alma comment, who cares who built what for her. If more people had the attitude she does and has had towards this sport and not walk around like a pompus ass like a few of the more successful competitors of today maybe we would have more support. You cant judge a person on how great of a competitor they are by their score or their trophy room, thats merely their success, but to be a great competitor takes more than standing on a stage holding a trophy larger than anyone elses.

Alma deserves recognition whether people like her or not. She brought more attention to this sport, and positive attention at that, than anyone ever has or probably will.
I agree with Steve, lay out the actual STATS, not opinions, that we should base our decisions on. Otherwise its every different persons opinion, and you know the old saying on that one....

Steve, I think that requirements are fair but they seem more oriented to world finals performance. I think the big dogs should and must be recognized, but those who grind it every weekend should be recognized too.
I will like to see another segment with them in mind with something like 1000 points , 10 triple pointers won, 50 events won requirements. That will do justice to those who are truly the face of the sport.
Also there were teams that have or had respectfull careers (Team Gates, Team Hertz, Team Pure Sound, Team Stereo West, Arts Sound Chamber, and XS SPL) that also should have their share of glory.

About Alma i've said hi to her about fifteen times over the years and i bet she does not even know who i am.
Scott Owens says hi to me when i see him he does not know who i am.
Chris Norris wanted to start a fight with me at a bar at finals just for saying hi to him.
How do i decide who is best.
I love this sport and will always compete at some level.
Maybe some day i'll get a first place and someone will say hi to me first.
