Rulebook:
12-4 Any team member who acts in an offensive or disruptive manner may be ejected from the event and could face possible disciplinary action from the dBDRA.

Some Examples:

· Throwing a “fit” in the judging lanes.

· The circulation or participation in petitions regarding dB Drag Racing.

· “Mob” type behavior.

Hi Kim,

We have some problems here in Slovenia, but I dont want that Wayne will understand that as writing public petitions... So first step should be to discus that with Wayne. Anyhow I have already discused that with Wayne, and I am waiting for his answer.

You can e-mail me or Edi for original post or explanation. As moderator I think that I shouldn't allow that in forum.

Otherwise if you don't know we had our competition on Saturday 23. Feb. 2002 and Edi got first place in our local clas S 1 (same as S 1-2, but only one sub) with 149,x

yeah, that's the way to organise comps!!!

Peter, Dr.Loudness you rule!!!!

for others... free competiton, free hot meal, great competitors a whole lot of visitors, perfect location, green grass.

That's the way db-Drag has to be promoted.

We had some Italian cars over and some Croatian too.

Trophies for first three places, all classes + additional ones.

Thanx once again Peter.

Hi Guilliermo,

Majority of competitors still don't have remotes...

So I made small exemption:

they all signed that they are aware of possible dammage and I alllowed them to be inside car.

They drove to competition in cars, they listend it all day...so I guess that they are mature enough not to damage hearing.

There were also set of headphones and many people used them.

Ower the year I will tried to enforce this rule too.

PS: we tried many remotes with Edi's car, but he have metalic tinted windows (almost invisible) and remotes are not working outside his car.

PPS: reults are up on TP page! Thank you Wayne.

For others:

I don't think that this score is higher because of that, and I don't think that he will go to World finals. Not to mention that this was 1x event...(uncalibrated).

It is just something to make dB-drag a bit easier for competitors and more affordable (= more popular).

In Argentina all the competitors can ear 140 db ups in the street .
But in a DBDRAG competition this isnt possible because the competitor have a ear damage .I can be responsability for this damage.

And if the competitors havnt the remote control, the competitor push play and close the door ,.Immediatly the head judge Start the medition.
But the competitor be outside car

So,if this is aproved for Wayne ,its OK!!!

We have a section at the bottom of the window display card that they must sign if they wish not to wear protection. It covers us, my judges do a double check when the car comes into the lane.... works very well.

FOR BIKEMIKE AND PETER:

Hey Guys, sorry for my insist in this item, but the RULE is very transparent:

¨ It is the competitor’s responsibility to comply with the conditions listed above. Competitors found to be in violation of one or more of these conditions shall be disqualified from the competition.

1-4 The contestant must be outside of the vehicle while the vehicle is being metered and all doors, windows, and other openings to the vehicle must remain closed during this time.

Exception - Competitors may remain inside of the vehicle during metering provided:

· They wear adequate hearing protection at all times. Removal of the hearing protection while inside of the vehicle will result in immediate disqualification.

· The competitor’s maximum SPL never exceeds 140 dB. A measured SPL in excess of 140 dB will result in immediate disqualification.

· The competitor signs a dB Drag Racing entry form that includes a waiver stating that the competitor understands that “exposure to high sound pressure levels may result in temporary or permanent hearing loss”.

I am just trying to make dB-drag more popular here. If I would be strict about this rule, than we would have only few competitors. With time I will enforce this rule(s) too.

But interesting question is how to understand this exception about beeng inside while measurements. Basicaly there are 3 exceptions:

A - headphones
B - 140 dB
C - waiver

So is it A+B+C or only A or B or C

Regards
