Hi everyone.

Help me gain a few db's please. I'm having a bit of a mental block at the moment.

Some pics first to show you what i'm running

 -

 -

 -

 -

There has been some changes to the car since these pics have been taking. mainly 2 amps strapped. And a smaller box.

Now running :

1x oddesey pc2150 battery
1x t612s-22 12" mtx square
2x t92001 mtx amps
1x alpine h-unit

Box is 1.5 cubes.

My current problem is getting the burping freq high enough, by this i mean if i tune the length of the port to 71hz it isnt as loud as when i tune it to 68.

I would have thought this was too low for a unwalled panda [What] [Confused]

Have built loads of different boxes so far from 1.2 -1.85 but this 1.5 the box i have at the moment has given me the best score so far of 151.7.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

GARY, BELFAST NORTHERN IRELAND.

have you tried to move the box to the left side ??

and use the soft rear seat
maybe other rear windows that can't be opened
testing the positions of the front seats
is the car damped ??
there are so many things you can do

Car is damped, only 1 layer though and just on roof, front doors, rear 1/4rs, and boot lid.

Would some on the floor help, and are you alowed more than 1 layer?

Have played with the front seats, and visors etc

Painting the box sounds interesting.

Damp everything where you have acces to and what you not see. Two layers max 4mm max. so that is 2 of 2mm or 1 4mm.
You have to play with front seats and backseat.

Try to find the soft backseat!

I think you should experiment with other boxes (different internal volume duct instead of aeroport, paint job)

the freq is good!

After a lot of testing i have noticed something strange.

The subs a dual 2 running of 2x 92001's strapped.

However when i burp (rolling the volume not a straight burp) the sub gets loud and then the sub sticks up the way. as soon as the volume is turned down or h-unit is paused it rests in the normal position. it does not like this at all, and gets very warm very fast.

Is this a battery voltage issue, ie: is one amp droping very low and the other amp just keeps pushing up?

hope that makes some sence

Cheers gary.
