I have a pair of the neo's and had them origionally with the four spoke baskets,I was having problems so i sent one of the subs back to dd and they put on the 12 spoke basket and sent it back. they unfortuntely put the wrong impedience coil on the returned sub so i ordered another 12 spoke basket and the right coils for my set up. When i went to recone the 12 spoke basket i was suprised to see a small diameter rope in ca glue where the spider meets the basket. when i cleaned it up i found a ridge that goes all the way around the basket right where the spider meets. Are these the right baskets? should i grind off the ridge to allow a better glueing surface or are these the wrong spiders or basket?????? also when i drop the new spider in there it hangs over the side of the basket about 3/16ths of an inch...... any replys will be greatly appreciated.....

I believe you are having the big diameter spiders on there. What I did was grinding of the little ridge (like Jassa sugested)for a better gluing surface. The smaller diameter spiders do fall into the ridge. To be 100% sure, just call DD.

thanks all, i called them and they told me to grind off the ridge, just wanted to know if anyone else had done this. it just doesnt look right with the spider hanging over the side like that......guess i will find out when i burp it.

did a usaci show this weekend and the subs held i posted a 160+ with just two amps on 12v. I thought that there wasnt enough glueing surface and they would fly apart but no they held together fine. thanks for all the input guys......
