Seems that dB Drag in Australia has failed... SCR used to run the comps, (only in 3 states, none of which has the loudest cars...) and now have dropped it.

We beileve Angelo (he ran the comps) has the equipment, but its too expensive to run the comps? Anyways, basically, dB Drag has gone down the drain. I'm very saddened it happened, now we can't compete with the rest of the world... There will however be a new competition called CAAdB, which may be promising, but still won't be going to all states... [Frown]

Hopefully they find maybe a solution ;
But , head up : as long there are spl competitions , there is fun and you all can do the things you'll like !
It's maybe not the same , but the day from competition everything feels the same [Wink]

Sad to hear that - I hope it gets revived.
All the deallers need to get together and support as it is very expensive to run.

Krase, yeah, I still would like to build my car to Street specs, but the new rules has forced me out... no way i'm running a D2 without the car on... [Frown]

CAAdB seems to be the goer, although I'm yet to hear of the rules...

dB Drag Racing in Australia is not dead, it is now run by dB Drag Racing Australia. All past competitors will be informed in due corse of the calender of events for this year. Well in New Zealand, we have fantastic DBdrag comps and also louder cars than you aussies.

Your country is way bigger but yet you still cant have any comps. whats the problem??

I would think about moving to NZ lol wait a second nope db drag don't mean THAT much to me hehehe

To BIG lol [Wink] not enough people running db drag, One person can't do do all events in one country.

as for louder cars not all classes are louder [Smile] and for how long who knows [Wink]

Doesnt it take like 5 mins to walk from one side of NZ to the other? [Smile]

Whereas it takes 3 hours to FLY in Aust... this is why, plus the man in charge lives down south, so only goes to cities close, which means missing the loudest State in australia (records will prove) QUEENSLAND!!!!

How can you expect us to do it on a db drag meter if they never come here?

Its the same as you guys over in Perth, but at least we've actually made some loud cars [Smile]

I said CALIBRATED meter doesn't have to be termpro
