as long as it is a commerically recorded and produced cd with musis. The intention is to get away from test tones and sine sweeps. Use them for the db drag racing.

Podium should be fine. Engine can run I haven't tried r&b - who did you have in Mind. I have seen several strong country western cd's

2nd if i know i can hit steady 145 db's on music, i would just enter the 139.9 db class and keep hitting that score untill the other guy looses to me in the tie breaker. what about if there like 5 ppl hitting the same score in a class? how many tie breakers will there be?
and if i got my own mic it wont take much time or effort for me to find that volume and song that would constantlya verage out to 139.9

It takes a lot of practice to know when to roll the volume up at the right moment in the song. Its not like having a sheet with volume/spl levels.

to those who have never tried it or competed in it, its really not as easy as you think....diffrent voltages diffrent temperatures everything is gonna come into play, just cause you average out to a 139.9 in your shop, could make you do a 140.1 in bass race outside on a rainy day =) and if you cut it down to keep under 139.9 you could do a 136

You will not be able to achieve a constant 139.9 for the entire 30 seconds. As you are supposed to be playing music, and music has different notes at different times, so you can not achieve and constant 139.9 the entire time. And if you are achieving 139.9 the entire 30 seconds that means you are playing a constant note which is not legal in Bass Race.

There are SONGS that contain 30 seconds of tones. Just gotta know what to buy.
