After the past 2 weekends, db drag finals, and usaci finals, I was talking to a few of the manufacturers of their thoughts on their future endevours, and it seems that they all have their eyes on the bass race arena. Reason being is that these cars play music, they get insanely loud doing so, and it focuses more on the everyday customers that keep their doors open by buying product. There were about 4 of us in a row at usaci finals this weekend, taking turns at just street beating our systems. A few reps walked up to our cars and asked alot of questions, and of course i prodded back. They seemed to be more impressed with the guy that will bang music so loud and clean, over the one note wonders. They are seeing these style vehicles as something that could be marketed for the shop since it does what the kid came into the store for in the first place. So mark my words, your going to be seeing alot more support from manufacturers if the bass race continues....

Companies stepping up for this is a way to showcase there products, in the enviroment that they were originally desgined for! They make alot more money off the average joe that want to street beat his vehicle, than off the guy that wants to do 2 subs and 8 amps!

ask around guys. I was street beating my spl setup at usaci finals on sunday, had 4 different reps and 2 distributors stop by and express their feelings on the subject.
Shawn is right on with how they are thinking. Marketing Bass Race is going to be more profitable for them as we all know bass race is for music and that matches 99.9% of the clientelle that are looking at their products.

I did it because I got tired of being in the Box all day and night trying to get a tenth louder. In bass race I can enter any class that I can be at the top of and have more fun. But some company did give me some help....

i had manufacture this year and i have there support again next year in bass race. the manufactures liked the idea that i can bang the hell outta my car and still have my highs screeming to the little john video that was playin on my screens. i think it does appeal more to the general consumer.

This bass race format is very interesting to me because in the past I was looked down for having the total system (Bass, Mids and Highs) and when I would go to shows, SPL or SQ was the formats which I find extremely boring. Burping is not real sounds and listening to acousticly correct sounds with staging and other crap was annoying the sh*t out of me. Here in NYC is what we call bumper to bumper and that when to vehicles go nose to nose. The crowd would be the ultimate judge of the best sounding(loud with no distortion) car. As I read the rules to Bass Race, I found it pleasing. So I'm going to cut the rambling and say THANK YOU because this format will take over..

E-Mail dosent normaly work. You need to call them and tell them what it is you are wanting to do. Its not easy just got to keep working on them. Have you been doing Drag or any other? I know a company that would probaly help.

x2! I especially like the 'crowd judging' idea! I really wish that would happen with more of the national organized Sound-Off Comps!

crowd judging can be fun, however it will never always be fair. Hence the meter to step in to handle the judging duties.
