I got the new Bass Race volume 4, and the db Drags cd the other day and was listening to the tracks on them. I can't find a decent song that could be used for Bass Race, all the bass seems to end before a full 30 seconds has passed. Has anyone had any luck with these tracks, or with any of the other Bass Race discs?

Nope the CD sucks just as I thought that it would. There are no continous 30 second parts of any song that I've found yet. The best song that I think that may be used for bassrace would be track 1 on the bassrace disc. It's not constant but very consistant and could work. Everything else is pretty lame. I think that was the idea though, it was to make it harder to do a 9.9 so there aren't any ties after the 4 run. It's stupid and should be changed before it actually happens, but why would Wayne listen to his competitors about something for once.

Listening to the previous discs I hadn't noticed any good songs for Bass Race either, and those came out before the new Bass Race rules. Does Wayne or anyone else check the songs beforehand to see if they really belong on a Bass Race disc?

I think the Db Jams disc would be easery to use...at least it is predictable. The songs are not that bad....wonder what they were thinking or if they just got the tracks mixxed up.

Yes, but for a 4th tie the official Bassrace disc is the one that is to be used not the DB Jams disc.

the truth is serious competitors that DO have termlabs to test on will be able to nail their 9.9 in their respective classes because they're going to find something on the Cd that works for them

I agree with you completely here. It's just going to take quite a bit of testing and perfecting. I'm sure by June or July I'll have it down enough to do some 9.9's no problem.

gotta rember also its a random track on the cd you have to find a way to do 9.9 on every track
this rule sucks ass if 49 or 59 tie that many times the 4th round might be in lik3 138.7 not to blow **** up being out of tuning range

Thats where owning a Termlab and having the time to practice will work. You'd just have to practice with every track on the disc and take notes for each one, so when a dice is used to pick the song you just go back to your notes and you'll know where to start the track.

I have port plugs to change the tuning of my box to accomidate the super low tracks on the cd. I can tune my box anywhere from 30hz-4 ports open, 34hz-5 ports open, and 37hz with all 6 of them open. With the new box that I'm building it will have 8 ports and I'll be able to broaden the range a bit more. I could even plug 3 of the ports, but only 36sqin of port for 2 15's doesn't work out that well. It would lower the tuning to 27hz though.
