I was wondering what some people are using for front speakers in some of these loud vehicles. I am specifically wondering if there are any front systems that can keep of with bass in the 148-152 db range? What is in Tommy, Will, pipo, and steve's rides?
I have been playing with the saw on my doors!

So can any of these keep up with the bass or do they still get drowned out?

I have 4 Sony 5.25" in a 4 cube sealed
box on each side, Together 4 Tweeters.
Power is about 500 Watts RMS x 2. Goes about
134 dB on TL at 100hz.
Mid/highs should be about 128-130 dB.
Just enough to ruin the hearing [Wink]
In my white car I have Kult Audio,
also 4 5.25" on a bridged Zapco Studio 500
on each side. Gives about 142 dB at 110hz.
Mids Highs also louder and CRYSTALCLEAR !
I can change this Frontsystem with a few
handgrips to the Sony car, but just when
I dont compete, because the sponsor doesnt
like it much [Wink]

When I drive longer distance I just use the
1 6.5" each door in factory location and the
same tweeter config. Soundstage is similar
and the sound is very slim then.
But its ok when you turn the bass not so high
what is very stressing when you drive 3 or 5
hours at high volume.
Most time I hear between 126 and 132 dB.
(Have a linear dB meter in my ****pit the whole time)

For fullrange its very ok that the front
is about 20-30 dB lower (by measuring linear)
because we remember the "A" and "C" weighting
what exists for a reason [Wink]

Just bass is boring, like Sound without Bass.

All ADS front stage in custom door pods with 2 8's and a set of components in each door with a powerplate 650 amp.

Thinking about upgrading my front stage but it actually sounds fairly capable at the moment.
