Here is the countdown at FL finals for bass race. Now with this being a 3x event, and with vehicles being built for bassrace, the countdown is important. How is it that you get red lighted if you start before GO, but you loose 2-3 seconds if you start at GO?

I don't see where it make much difference if it's the same for both lanes. I also know that it may be because of a slight delay between the computer and the display.

Just to clarify what is happening during this pause..it's the software checking for the competitor playing before the "go".. this is not allowed. It's called a "red light".

I have seen that 29 before the go before. I usually just unpause as soon as teh word "set" disappears. I am curious though if it is caused by processor speed or many programs being open or if it is just the nature of the beast.

I have seen a 29 28 GO only at one show also the computer was on DB tv to my knowledge that is what was causeing it.

David not saying anything about the 2 lanes together, just talking about if someone wants to post a LOUD score and wants to be one of the top 1,2, or 3 loudest in the world in bassrace. Im not complaing david, we have been friends for a long time, so please dont think this is an attack to you, just wondering if everyone else in the country is doing the same thing, b/c I know we did louder scores in Pipos truck at my house right before we left to go to the show. Like I said, please dont think of this as an attack.

No problem at all. BTW - The shorted time should not result in a lower score. As long as the competitors reaction time is good. A good Bass Racer would be able to score the same thing in a 10 second run...

Shawn when I broke the record I waited till i seen 27 sec. on the clock i think david is right it really don't matter when you start not taking anyone side don't take it the wrong way im not picking on you or pipo that was a good score

tommy I know your not picking on anyone, Im not mad, just trying to figure out if everyones meter did the same thing? b/c the meter we used here at the house didnt do that.

Well if you listen to the video you can hear Step's van playing before it said GO (witch is good for him), he was playing it right when it said 29, and the GO....is ok I''ll be doing my homework in the off season.
