it is similar but different if this design doesnt work out i will probably end up with a box just like his, but i would hope that people wouldnt harrass me for doing the same box

if you realy want some old school terms from us old draggers. the term clamshell is what we used when talking about to subs mounted face to face or now know as isoberic. we just always called them Vs when refering to a wall like steve or randys. same thing though just different terms.

nice build though, cant wait for the vids.
Actually I work in a cabinet shop and we use glue all the time on melamine. The stuff we use is called Roo Glue, and is a special type of glue that is used to bond melamine. Just thought you might want to know incase you ever need to get some.

Back in 2000, Ron Evans had a bandpass in his Extreme 9+ 0-5000 watts Chevy S-10. Everyone kept telling him, "That's not a bandpass", but it was. He had 12 - 12" RF Punch XLC subs, (you know the cheap ones) they were in a sealed box in the bed of the truck all firing upward. We had a wall seperating the cabin from the bed with a hugh port at the top that was the width of the truck and about 20" tall and about 3" long. The way it was set up, it kinda didn't look like a bandpass, but it worked really well back then. He was doing great numbers considering the equipment he was using, and the fact that the whole truck was built very weak out of particle board.
