Those were the Gates Series subs. They were built for Alma, and accorting to the rules ( at that time) they were legal ( and still would be)BUT they have since been removed. as a matter of fact, i believe July they were gone, and stock L7s have been installed. I was at Texas Heatwave ( Late July) and the Beast already had the stock speakers in it for some time. Alma has talked about this a few times, since people always ask. just search back in here a few weeks/months, and you'll find her exact words.
really I think the Gates Series were the same as what other companies had been doing for some time.. JUST that the enclosure design of the bronco allowed everyone to see the back side of the woofers.
but hey.. that's just a Jester speakin..

Gabe is correct...many more other than Alma got these woofers, but most now, including the Bronco, are finding out the stock L710's are doing just fine. They basically were the same woofer, bigger magnet to handle more power, but not more Xmax, etc. But the new L710's have a smaller magnet, but still can handle more than 'rated' power, in the right install. Kinda goes to show, "It's not the size of your magnet, it's all in how you use it."
