It's Scott from CAA. Thanks again for all your support of our extreme car project. I have a question that you may be able to help us out with, or at least point us in the right direction to get the answers we need.
We are considering running our alternators off of a hydraulic motor which is in turn run from a power take off (hydraulic pump)from the engine. This will enable us to place the alternators external to the engine bay which is a major problem for us. But the question is whether or not this is 'legal' under dbDra Rules?
I've posted this question elsewhere in the site but haven't seemed to get any definative answers? Unfortunately I do not have access to post in the Rule & Regulations Forum atm, so I cannot ask in there.
Would you have any answers or any information on how I could find out a ruling on this?
Thanks again... Scott

Scott, just so that you know, the post that you made in the dB drag section, is identical to having the post in the rules section.
I have to be on the road, most of tomorrow (thursday). If I get a chance, I will phone Wayne and ask him about your proposed install. If I am not able to reach him by phone tomorrow, I will try again on Friday.
I will give the results (if any), in your other post.
Our team is getting a bit excited to get underway. All of our equipment is arriving shortly, and the vehicle is currently being prepped for install. Should be a very exciting and interesting few months...
