Since it got all quiet all of the sudden, I thought I'd get some action going here (and put Ma on the spot).
So Ma....what are your future plans. With just the Bronco in Kickers capable hands, I was wondering if you were cooking up any new projects?
I know where we can get this cherry looking early 70's cadillac, maybe you ought to put some hydro's on it and make it a SQ demo car like Gary's (only we won't be backing over any kids).

If they're metal knitting needles, wire them up to your house electrical, and probe people like Liz with them. You can get gobs of information out of people using this method. hahaha
Hey Liz, is the 70's caddy you speak of the "brown turd" (as Patrick would put it)? heh
I have been expecting to see it come out with Hydraulics and some sick and twisted system for some time now.

I purchased that thing in 1973 - really is a little old school teacher car, and you know that thing is almost 22 feet long and only non-ford vehicle in the Gates family! It has a REAL trunk. LOL - I once borrowed a live turkey for Pats' preschool Thanksgiving program. Put the turkey in the trunk. Know what a turkey does best? POOP!!! All over the place. Talk about a mess! Also, I have turned Patrick loose on the 89 mustang convertible. It now has roll bars and well, we will see on that one also. Has potential of being fast and loud. We don't know what we are doing right now that we can share. One season at a time.
Electrified needles are interesting.

So, will you be opening an account at the local police department (to pay for all the speeding tickets)?

That is exactly why nothing had been done before now. My son is now 24 and I hope he has enough common sense to practice "safe driving". Actually, we have been talking about just putting it with the bronco as a Team Gates demo car. We will just have to wait and see how it turns out.

Don't need to worry about that. DPS is stretched so thin here in the valley, You've got one patrolman for every 20 miles of highway. It works out that way too, I only see one DPS officer (car or cycle unit) every 20 or so miles I drive. Municipal police and Sherrif Joe typically don't bother with you on the 101, 202, 10, 17, or 60 since it's not as productive as patrolling the surface streets. When I drove to Mexico to rescue my brother in law from the policia in sonora, I averaged about 90 mph all the way down there. Last time I went up to Payson I think I hit 125 coming down the mountain in my (dearly departed) truck. The speed limit on most roads in the valley is 55. The actual speed during normal traffic periods is closer to 80.
