I had read an post here a while back and saw that Alma said that she would be coming to the heat wave if it was going to be a db drag 3x. Was just curious as to what came of that and if I could look forward to meeting her and seeing the Bronco here in Austin this year?

When we were doing our schedule, dBDrag was listed as being part ot the Texas Heat Wave event. I don't think they are attending, but we will still be there. Who knows what we are going to do - compete, demo, whatever. We will be there. Thanks for asking.

Alma at heatwave again ?? SWEET !! Drag will be there but it is only a single point event. it is written wrong on the drag site.. it says the show is in austin, i think round rock ( outside austin), they relocated this year. from what i hear, there is PAVEMENT !!! no more dust bowl.. although I will miss the "barn" as we called it.. cause it was the coolest place (temp wise) Alma don't forget to bring some shade, and potentially wading boots LOL in case it rains like last year.... hope to see everyone there.. don't know as of yet if I will be competing, but I will be there one way or another

i am now certain that drag is not going to be offered at Heatwave. I doubt if I would have been able to compete anyway. besides I had plans that same weekend. BUT>. If Ma will be there.. time to make some changes so I can swing by and say hello !!

Hey Gabe, I could not find anything on the db drag site for that show. But it will be a good show. I look forward to seeing you and "our" hat.

This show is losing more and more sponsorship every year. I wouldnt doubt it in the least if this is the last year it will be held. I really hope not but shows like this dont just happen overnight and are not cheap to run. I have spoken with several local shops and various places that have sponsored in the past and have heard all the same thing: "The amount that Heat Wave wants us to pay for the little publicity we get from it is not worth it." This is what I was told by one place. People like this are the reason the show, in my opinion, is fading out and not going to be around much longer. I hope I am wrong about this though, sure is nice to have at least one car show in Austin..............be nice to see more though
