Let me start by saying to all who don't know Nathan personally; he is a GREAT, KNOWLEDGEABLE guy. Being from South NM I had a chance to travel a few hours and meet him and the CVCC n person. It is a cool little car. Nathan was more than helpful in teaching me the ropes for my current db drag car. Many thanks to him for his ongoing help. Without him and SPL2000 (mike) I think this project might have gone in the toilet. I have up-to-date pictures on Mikes site (click the noisy toys link at bottom of post)
And by far the NEATEST mod on the little CVCC has to be the 16" hub caps on the 13" wheels.
Once again I can't give too much thanks to Mike and Nathan for there help. Hopefully one of them can come by and help with the plexi installation (hint hint) Got to run another 4 sheets of mdf to install in the car arrived this morning.

Again, a belated congrats!

Great score! Just out of curiosity, have you ever thought of going with a single Signature Series quad coil, and twice as much power? Or even a quad coil mouse? That's amazing what you have done. I wish I lived in the area so I could get a look at that thing. Good luck on your way to 170!

In Springfield, I got a 169.8 with the DVC, and the super extreme quad I tried with 2x the power was louder, but I was having problems with it, so I ran the dvc.

Cool, I don't think many subs would like that amount of power! Ever think of trying one of those $2500 Signature Series quads? Maybe they could take the power and get even louder. Good to hear you're near 170, just a little bit further.

I didn't really decide to change. I take the DD and the AT with me to shows. The AT has a slightly lower resistance, which my DEIs didn't care for at the temperatures they were at. After setting in a vegas parking lot at 100+ degrees all day, the amps were extremely hot, just from the sun. This combined with the lower DC resistance of the AT sub made the amps try to protect with the AT sub. Thats why I ran the DD. They are both EXCELLENT subs, and my hats off to Mike for creating a sub to go head to head with the 9515 for less money.
Now, on to bigger and better numbers, I still gotta catch Kyle. ;( With one sub, its gonna be hard, but I like difficult tasks.
