Nathan Munson, Extreme 1-2 using ONE 15 did a 167.3 at Padre, getting the current world record in dB Drag for his class.
I have talked to Nathan on line for quite a while but only knew him as "ea1".
Nathan, that was quite a feat and I for one would like to know more about the basic install of that little black beast. You have any pictures you can share with us?

Hey hey, nice to meet you Nathan. Also nice to see a product from my hometown making it big! (Atomic Thunder founded in Defiance Ohio).
Nathan, how do you have the box set up? Is it just sort of a half wall behind the front seats? Have you ever thought of busting out two Extremes, or wait, you probably dont have the airspace..lol.
Congrats on the good numbers, Aaron

First off great job on the number. Glad that you could make it happen. Should be a interesting year in the extreme classes. By chance did you see a escort that had 2 18" audiobahn woofers? If so what number did he do?

Again, thank you for the kind words.
Nathan, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! My own opinion - anything that can do that number is beautiful!

The escort was there, it belongs to Jim Jeans 12 year old son. Has 2 15 inch audiobahn subs, and 8 of the audiobahn 1500 amps. They qualified with a 158 and some change, but got some bugs worked out, and ended up second, with, I believe, a 165.4.

Yes, congratulations again Nathan. You did a truly amazing thing, and we're all rooting for you to hit your goal of 170 with ONE sub. Especially if you can do it with a single 15".
Only bad thing is, you and Kyle are in the same class, so it's tough to choose who to root for overall! I guess I'll just have to be happy for whoever takes it this season, and we'll have to console the loser (err, bad choice of words, cause nobody that is out there working hard and competing is a loser. how bout, we'll have to console the 2nd winner) with lots of beer!

Oh, and lots and lots of MDF
Nathan, around the Gates household, DEI is a magic word. We only use their security systems, but John Durbin and Ken Gammage are great to work with. I believe their website is www.Directed.com.
I visited their facility last summer when we were doing the bronco qualification thing and they managed to get us more range on our remote for the trailer. Its a fun place to visit.

Congrats on the score and let me be the first to say congrats on a 170 in the future.(just a matter of time) If I know the box design, It will be easily acomplished. You have just proven that the install is the most important part of a complete system. Thanks! You know you have my support.

Nathan, neat thing about being the first to do a number - you will always have that status. I have a feeling you are not going away for awhile, but you will be challenged to work harder. I think 170 would look very good on that little black car, don't you?
And never say it can't be done. How will you know if you don't try?
example - one old bronco first to do: 164.9 (1996) 169.4 (1997) 172.2 (1998 SBN) 169.(something) on the B&K in 1998 My bad point is you can accomplish anything if you try. Good Luck
