Thank you for the warm welcome. To answer your question on the rerelease of the ZPA that will not be happening. We will however be building a 2kW amp with radically new technology though. I am not allowed to discuss it much more than that though.
I just gotta say, I LOVE my MS2250 TA!!! I just got it the other day, but unfortunetly I haven't had a chance to hook it up.
Too bad you didn't put an LPL in the new MS TA amps.
But can you give me more info about the new deck you guys plan on releasing? And info about those new Ti speakers? Since i'm looking for speakers really, really soon!! Thanks

Hi Rob, Yes you are correct that there is alot of hype on class D amps right know. What is phoenix Gold doing ? Well we are currently working on an XS amp that is a 1000 watt unit. Is it class D? I am not at liberty to tell you what class it is at this time. But I can tell you that it will be as efficient as a class D amp. It will offer a continously variable lowpass crossover, and has the capability to be gridged into another XS1000 amp to make a total of 2000 Watts! At any rate I hope that this gives you the info you were looking for. Thank you for your interest. Jerry

A1wayzFresh, We did not put the lpl on the MS amps because we did not want to change anything from the original units. At that time when we originaly designed and built them all of the lpl circuits were in with the seperate crossovers like the AX204A and the AX406A. We did not change them because it was an anniversary amp. I know it would be a little cooler if we had a crossover and lpl. Sorry! On to the cd player you have heard about. We have one unit out. It is in an expert competitors car at this time. It is not a cd player that is loaded with bells or whistles. It is a simple CD player with the very best of design and parts. It contains a 24bit dual monolithic burr brown DA convertor. High quality preamp section was used inside the unit as well. This is a serious sound quality player but it comes at a price. Right now this would cost about $2000.00 US dollars retail. We are trying to find a way to make the same unit at a price more people can afford. As for the new ti speakers. Anything with the ti name is our top of the line product. The ti speakers will be consistant with this. We will have a 8" mid bass with a three inch woice coil and only a two inch mounting depth. We will also offer a 5" & 6" mid range that has a three inch voice coils. These units all have poly cones and butyl surrounds. The passive crossovers will be housed in a metal case that matches the ti amps. They will look really cool! Well if you have any more questions let me know. Jerry

Hey Slick, It is great to see that you know about the digital EQ we have coming out. We have just finished the metal case for it and are working on the remote display. The unit will have four presets with seperate left and right 1/3 octave controls. The unit will be able to be operated either a vacuum flourescent display or with a computer. It is compatible with PC RTA for auto EQ. When you use a computer it will give you an additional 3 bands of parametric equalization for left and 3 for right. These are adjustable in one hertz increments! The finish will match the ti amps. It also offers 4 negative triggered outputs. One for each preset. These outputs are triggered by simply selecting the preset. These can be used to turn amps on or off, or turn speakers on or off. Do what ever you can think of with it! Thank you for your questions. If I can help you out anymore let me know. Jerry

Thanks Jerry!!! Any info on the release date of the Digital EQ? How about the SDT? I ordered (and payed for) an SDT kit like 2 months ago, dealer said they were out, now backodered I guess. Are they actually shipping, I can' t find anyone who actually has one yet.

Hey jerry, I just noticed in your profile your into bodybuilding. I thought I was the only bodybuilding car audio nut around, and from my favorite company to boot! I don't know if your into doing your own installs, but does the eating slow you down as much as me?

Oh, questions, do i have plenty more questions. It was a bad Idea to ask if i had more questions Jerry
What is the status of the rack mount amp you had hat CES? Is it going into production anytime soon or is it still in the proto stage? With the HU you have right now, Is the one you guys have in the competition car the same faceplate as in CES? Isn't close to the same face as the Denon 1000R? Can you guys make me one, without the preamp? maybe that will cut costs? I'm almost set on the Sony C-90, unless you can give a rough date on when you'll be able to bring the deck into production. I'll still take one if u can custom make me a deck I'd be very interested, if i e-mail you could you give me a little more info on this?
I know the Ti series is cool and everything, but i still have a bunch of ZX series amps and I don't plan on getting ride of it, and the MS2250 matches nicely with them. Is there any way, if i send say... a powercore back to you guys so you can redo the casing to match the old ZX series? hehehe i guess not. Thanks again! hope to hear the responses soon. especially about that deck.
I haven't had the opportunity to get back to my home store WeeBee Audio in quite sometime. They were the primary, if not the only, PG retailer in Lancaster County, PA. Anyway, has PG come out with a good/great quality "budget" line? I'd love to run PG, but my wallet and my ideas are at odds with each other.
The last time I saw PG in a store was when the ZeroPoint components were released...EXCELLENT sound!!! If you guys found a way to improve on that, then consider me a PG customer already.....I'll teach that raskly wallet who's boss!!!
btw, Slick....not a bodybuilder, but power lifter!! Hrm, power-lifting and repping out a paradox?

How will the new PG eq compare to the new ID-One coming out from Image Dynamics? I assume it will be based more along the lines of the Orion DEQ30 instead of the ID-One and their old digital EQ they had.

Hi Slick I just checked up on the SDT and RDP kit's, we are shipping them and have allready sold out of our first batch. Your dealer probably should have recieved some from us if they had it on order because we did fill all of our back orders as far as i know. If they did'nt get it let me know who your dealer is and i can check on the status for you and make shure that you get one. By the way i do have a hard time with the diet deal and car audio. But i seem to have difficulty eating enough! Take care and talk to you next time. ti knight

Thanks Jerry, I'm gonna give them a call again right now. Chicken, there was nothing wrong with the ZPA's they kicked butt, still do, I heard they were discontinued because they where pretty tough on electrical systems (need a lot of current), which made them a tough sell sometime because of cost involved with the amp itself and some electrical upgrades. That's just what I heard, but they do kick serious butt, maybe Jerry can enlighten us more.

Jerry thanks for the info, I called my dealer and suprise "it just came in this morning". I really doubt that something I ordered two months ago just happened to come in the day I called with some info, but oh well, it's in. Thanks man. Keep up the good work over there!
PS Keep eating.

I was curious because I had a pair of ZPA0.5 amps which both decided to short out on me, costing a hefty $220 each to get repaired. I thought the same thing about them being tough, since the original price was so high, and I did buy them used, but I figured with a name like PG on them they would last for many years, regardless of any abuse.

Hey Jerry, I saw that install you did in a BMW (I think) in CSR. Very nice. Anyways. I was wondering exactly how you wired up the fuse status display in the dash and center console. I have come up with a couple of different designs and would like to see if there is a better way.

A1waysFresh: What's up? The 2Kw amp is being worked on and we have no ship date as of yet. Anything that was featured in the concept room at ces had no ship dates or retail prices promised. The head unit was in there as well. The reason that the head unit looked like the Dennon is because they where the ones we where looking at to OEM the head unit for us. By the way the head unit that you saw was not the 1000! The 1000 does not have anything close to what the pg unit had in it. Can we make a CD player with no preamp? Unfortunatley Not! Because we don't even have a player in production as of yet. I hope that answers all your questions take care! ti knight

The XS line is from $200-$720.You can find these on our web site @ www.phoenixgold.com. Thank you for your interest. ps.Let me know if i can do anything else for you. ti-knight
