So I have a one sided mold that I would like to make something out of carbon fiber from. My question is that since only one side is in contact with the mold then the other side will not look as smooth, correct? If a UV protectant clearcoat is applied afterwards would both side look equally smooth assuming the CF was well saturated etc to start off with. I know ideally I should use a vacuum bagging system right?

like spydermann said, just sand it smooth, but then if you have to, put an extra layer of clear resin over, then snad smooth once again and polish until it is super shiny. do you need to have both sides finished? because it will be a bit of work.dont get me wrong though, it will be completly worth it.
